Ike Hilliard Was Out Before He Hit The Ground
Sportaphile —
I know I watch too much boxing and MMA, because when I saw the hit LeRoy Hill and Lofa Tatupu laid on Ike Hilliard tonight… I knew he was unconscious before he hit the ground.
Luckily when Hilliard woke up, he was able to walk off the field under his own power, so while he may have a helluva concussion… there probably isn’t any injury beyond that.

Ike Hilliard Got Knocked Out By LeRoy Hill And Lofa Tatupu In The Seahawks Vs Buccaneers Game
FanIQ Blog —
Tampa Bay Bucs WR Ike Hilliard got rocked on this play by a couple of Seattle Seahawks defenders. As soon as he got hit, he just went limp. To add insult to injury, he fumbled on the play as well. That's not exactly a shock, seeing as he was basically asleep as soon as they hit him.
I have no idea ...
Video: Ike Hilliard Hit, Sandwiched by Leroy Hill and Lofa Tatupu, Ouch!
Larry Brown Sports —
This hit on Ike Hilliard of the Buccaneers was so brutal it really makes you cringe. I really wonder if Jeff Garcia feels bad for putting Hilliard in such a bad situation. Even if it was the right throw to make, Garcia probably has some sorrow for the Hilliard family on that one. It’s like Hilliard ran into a cement wall. Check it out:
Probably something you missed while watching the Rays beat the Red Sox. Football is a brutal, brutal game. And in case you were wondering, both Ike Hilliard and Lofa Tatupu sustained concussions from the play. Not ...

Hines Ward knocks Keith Rivers out for a year
Sports Crackle Pop —
I definitely don’t want to get on Hines Ward’s bad side. He knocks people into next week. And if you are the Cincinnati Bengals rookie Keith Rivers you get knocked out until next year.

Ike Hilliard Is Tougher Than You
Bucstats.com —
There was about 60 seconds there last night when I was fairly certain that Ike Hilliard was dead. Not figuratively or metaphorically. I mean I thought that the collision could have very well snapped his neck. You can see his eyes rolling into the back of his head on the replay and everything. Then when he moved on his own, I was pretty sure he was alive and that he’d just have to drink his meals through a straw for the rest of his life. Everyone knew it was serious; they had the cart out on the field faster than I’ve ever seen them bring it out before. Then, following the commercial break, Ike gets up, walks to the cart and rides ...
Leroy Hill will damage your brain

Not only did the hit below knock Bucs WR Ike Hilliard (seriously, this guy's still in the league?) out of the game, but it also knocked out Seattle LB Lofa Tatupu (fantastic name) with a concussion. Bad Bad, Leroy...Hill: ...
Buccaneers Ike Hilliard suffered concussion from Helmet to Helmet hit
Buc 'Em —
Lost amidst the celebrations from yesterdays Bucs and Rays wins was WR Ike Hilliard and the status of his injury. For those that didnt see it Hilliard got 'BLOWN UP' early in the second quarter. He got sandwiched in between Seahawks LB's Leroy Hill and Lofa Tatupu, sustained a helmet to helmet hit, and fumbled the ball. You could instantly see Ike lose all consciousness once he got hit. You can see the carnage below for yourself:
The good news is Ike Hilliard only suffered a concussion and spent the night in the hospital. Clearly he shouldnt play this week against Dallas, although he wanted to return in the second half ...
Oh Yeah, That’s Fair

Three Buccaneers were fined from last week’s game against the Cowboys. Ronde Barber was hit for $7,500 for his horsecollar tackle on Marion Barber. I guess it’s fair since it was pretty deliberate, although if he’s going to have to pay the bill for it, there should have been some a torn ligament or two involved. And, as it turns out, taking off your helmet carries the same weight as a horsecollar tackle since Jeremy Trueblood was also fined $7,500 for removing his helmet after the Bucs failed to convert that last fourth down, ending the game. I wonder if it’s a ...
