What's Up With Colts Fans?
BostonsportZ —
As the Colts were on their way to being upset by the Chargers On Sunday, The NFL honered it's Pepsi Punt, Pass and Kick competition winners and as Anna Grant, a 15-year-old from Stratham and freshman at Exeter High School (who was wearing a New England Patriots' jersey) was introduced, she was booed by the Colts fans.
Patriots To Honor Young Fan Booed at Chargers-Colts Game
FanHouse —
Filed under: Colts, Patriots, NFL Fans, NFL Playoffs, Boston, IndianapolisDuring halftime of last Sunday's, Chargers-Colts game, CBS honored the national winners of the Punt, Pass and Kick program. Everything was going swimmingly until the public address announcer got to the 14-15 year-old champion, Anna Grant. You see, Anna is from Stratham, New Hampshire, and she made the mistake of wearing a Patriots jersey during the ceremony. You can guess how that turned out (around the 0:45 mark): To Grant's credit, she laughed ...
Way to take the high road, Indy
Eye on Foxborough —
I'll be perfectly honest, here. When I saw the Indianapolis Colts lose to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, a small part of me was bummed. Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison are a heck of a lot less annoying than Shawn Merriman and Marlon McCree, I reasoned, and it'd be nice for the Patriots to get a crack at the Colts in the playoffs again this year. No more. Indianapolis fans, I know you're not all the same. Much like Boston sports fans, then, you've got to start policing your own, calling out the morons who think it's a good idea to do things like this: Yes, that's a actual video ( courtesy Barstool Sports ...
Anna Grant: Patriots To Give Punt, Pass, Kick Winner Appropriate Celebration After Being Booed In Indy
FanIQ Blog —
A little harsh, but still hilarious. Anna Grant, a 14-year-old from Stratham, NH (20 miles from Foxboro) won her division of the annual Punt, Pass and Kick competition. Naturally, like other winners, she wore her favorite team's jersey for the award presentation.
One problem, she was wearing a Patriots jersey and Colts fans, surprisingly paying attention, booed her. They booed a 14-year-old PPK champion. Fine work.
Don't worry, she'll have her moment for applause - although she took the booing in stride anway. The Patriots will be honoring her this weekend ...
Booed PPK Girl To Get The Star Treatment From The Pats
AwfulAnnouncing —
I obviously didn't have video capabilities over the past weekend, so I would have had this sooner. Before the 4th quarter of the Bolts-Colts game on Sunday the NFL had it's winners of the Punt, Pass, Kick Competition on field to be honored. Each age group had a winner and the 14-year old winner just happened to be from Stratham, Mass and wearing a Pats jersey. She got booed unmercifully by Colts fans. So much so that Patriots' Owner Robert Kraft feels the need to stick up for her..... Fourteen-year-old Anny Grant was the Patriots' representative in the annual Punt, Pass and Kick competition. And ...
Pats to honor fan booed in Indy
Sports Scope —
If New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick had needed any more incentive to beat the Indianapolis Colts in Sunday's AFC Championship Game, Colts fans provided it by booing Anna Grant last Sunday in an embarrasing display . Grant, a 15-year-old high school freshman, and the other winners in the NFL's Punt, Pass & Kick competition were introduced on CBS during a break in Sunday's AFC divisional playoff between the Colts and San Diego Chargers. Colts fans booed Grant because she won her age group as the Patriots representative. ("Actually," said one user on the the IndyStar.com message board in a reference to ...
Patriots' Fans Have Delicate Sensibilities [We Dislike Your Favorite Team]
Deadspin —
Patriots fans were shocked and indignant when Anna Grant, 14, was booed for wearing a Patriots jersey at the AFC playoff game in Indianapolis on Sunday. Folks at the RCA Dome let her have it during the introduction of the Punt, Pass and Kick winners, where, it appears, even the Colts' mascot got into the act. Well, don't worry, New England Faithful. Patriots' owner Robert Kraft has given Anna and her family free tickets to this weekend's slaughter of the Chargers AFC Championship Game, where she will be honored in some sort of ceremony. But even that isn't enough to placate Patriots' fans. ...
Get Over It
The FynalCut —
So, I missed almost the entire Colts-Chargers game.
All I saw was 1) Indy’s opening drive, a march down the field in which Manning was something like 12-of-12, picking apart the overly annoying San Diego defense. And 2) Phillip Rivers’ Billabong shirt he stole from my 8th grade closet ...
