docksquad33 Haha this fool's crazy, but you gotta love it. Nice vid.-
Ryne Nelson Some people asked me whether Ronny would act with this high level of passion if the team wasn't winning. It's a good question - I guess I couldn't see Turiaf playing for a losing team.

Is Ronny Turiaf sane?

TNT Finally Got it Right
Upside and Motor —
TNT has put a mic on Kobe, LeBron, Dwight, KG, even Sam Cassell, the walking mouth. But they finally mic'ed up the right guy on Friday night for the Lakers-Spurs rematch: (via Odenized) I don't know of a single team that wouldn't want Ronny Turiaf on their team. He's a high energy big man who can bang and block shots, plus he is the league's greatest mascot (FreeDarko is much more eloquent than I). If you need it spelled out for you, Turiaf had to have open heart surgery because he had too much heart. I think he may be the only NBA player who is just as ...

We All Get Excited About The Lakers!
Women Like Sports —
During Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals when the Lakers were down by 20 to the Spurs I thought I was going to be very ill. Fortunately, the team came back and managed to pull it out. Whew! Needless to say, I was a bit worried about the game last night prior to the start. Sure, everyone had assumed that they broke the spirit of the Spurs with the comeback, but I was still pessimistic. I stand corrected! Happily! With the 101-71 victory last night, the whole town was doing silly dances the way you see Ronny Turiaf doing on the side. Yeah, the team ...
Ronny Turiaf is very exuberant
Hail Mary Jane —
Ronny Turiaf is kind of crazy looking. I always thought that about him but after watching this video, I really think he’s crazy.

Move Over Madsen
PhDribble —
There have been many stand-out stars in these playoffs, but none has surpassed his supposed potential as Ronny Turiaf. Coming into this post season, not a single expert had him atop their Best 12th-Man boards, many not even placing him in their top 10. But critics have been silenced as Turiaf has out-benched everyone in the playoffs so ...
Vote 4 Ronny, NOW!
With Malice - An LA Lakers blog, news and opinions —
Upside and Motor, the NBA blog are running a campaign to get Ronny Turiaf as the Yellow Book Lakers player-cam player for TNT’s interwebby coverage of game 3 between the Lakers & the Spurs.
Great idea.
One of the more entertaining guys ...
In Favor of 48 Minutes of Ronny Turiaf
FanHouse —
Filed under: Lakers, Spurs, NBA Playoffs, NBA Videos, Los AngelesUpside and Motor had a terrific thought this weekend: You know TNT's "Yellowbook Cam," a web video stream which follows one player from each team through an entire Western Conference Finals game? Well, stop voting for Kobe -- let's get Ronny Turiaf elected. U&M explains: Who wants to watch Kobe on a player cam when he's touching the ball 90% of the time anyway? A Ronny-cam would likely be more entertaining than the game itself: a 12-minute spurt of yelling, cheering, dancing, and assorted bench ...
You'll Want to Watch Ronny Turiaf For 12 Minutes Straight [Eep Opp Ork Ah Ah]
Deadspin —
Lakers reserve center Ronny Turiaf only plays 10 minutes a game, but as you can see by the video, the man babbles a good flibbidyfloo. And now we have a chance to Turiafify the vote on TNT's website.
TNT is rhetorically asking who you [points menacingly] want to have their own dedicated camera on for the first quarter. Natch, Kobe Bryant is running away with the vote, but the Turiaf movement is underway. Sadly, it's not going so well:
Here's to hoping he can make up the ground, even though he probably won't, especially because I didn't ...
Ronny Turiaf’s Sanity is Questionable
MVN Outsider —
You know how TNT’s been putting microphones on some players during the NBA playoffs? Well, Lakers power forward Ronny Turiaf was mic’d up for Game Two of his squad’s playoff series with San Antonio, and the viewing audience was treated to a glimpse of Turiaf’s bizarre behavior during the evening’s broadcast. By the end of the game, I think most of us were starting to wonder about the big man’s sanity level…take a look:
I have no idea what just happened, but I was nevertheless entertained. Looks like the Lakers have found themselves a perfect replacement for Mark ...
Worst of the (holiday) Weekend
Basketbawful —
Sorry this is late, folks. Even I need a holiday, apparently. Spurs-Lakers Game 2 San Antonio Spurs: The seven-game series with the Hornets, that night spent sleeping on a grounded plane, the devastating choke job in Game 1 of this series, their age...it was like all of those things caught up with them at once in Game 2. The Spurs shot 34 percent as a team -- including 6-for-23 from three -- and they got slowly and methodically crushed in the second half en route to a 30-point rout. The champs were a step slow everywhere, especially on defense, where they ...
All eyes on Ronny Turiaf
Ball Don't Lie —
As most of you know, TNT is running a cool online promotion called the Yellowbook Cam, which is a camera that follows a player for each team decided by you, the Internet-savvy voting public. So far, Kobe, Manu and TP have controlled the series' votes and cameras, but the Ronny Turiaf movement is quickly gaining momentum. In fact, as of 1:00pm EST, Turiaf is actually winning the first quarter with 61% of the vote, compared to Kobe's 25%. So, please, keep voting, and hopefully we'll have us the Turiaf Dance Cam to discuss during tonight's Game 4 live blog.
The "Turiaf Camera" Movement Needs Your Help
AwfulAnnouncing —
I'm a little late getting to this, and hopefully there's enough time to get it done. A week ago I told you that TNT was holding a vote for each WCF game on which player the "Fan's Choice" cam would follow during each gamehave won. I also told you that it would more fun to pick people like Coby Karl and Ira Newble but the people have only decided that Kobe, Manu, and Tony Parker have won. Well that can change tonight! The "Ronny Turiaf Movement" is underway and here are the current results.... That maybe a little tough to read but Turiaf is sitting a mere 3% behind Kobe ...
NBA Playoffs: Lakers-Spurs, Game 4 [NBA Playoffs]
Deadspin —
Basketbawful has pulled out his Ouiji board, Magic 8-Ball and Tarot cards in order to give you a little prognostication for tonight's game.
Manu Ginobili. He was the unquestioned goat of Games 1 and 2, and even moreso the unquestioned hero of Game 3. His "In yo face, suckah!" performance (30 points, 9-for-15, 5-for-7 in threes) was pretty damn impressive...especially when you consider he's doing it with an arthritic ankle. Ouch. Seriously, though, some of those threes were wacko - one of them even made Kobe laugh - and I don't know if that kind of lightning is going to strike ...
Paul Pierce Used to Be Sad; Signs Now Point to Glad
The Howeva Files —
So this happened last night. Apparently Paul Pierce blew his knee out. Sprained meniscus was the word. But suddenly, taking a page out of Penny Marshall's book (insert Awakenings joke here), Paul Pierce wasn't hurt anymore. Did he realize that he looked like a sissy on national television (insert Dwayne Wade cry pic here)? Was it Brian "Mix-Tape Assassin" Scalabrine's breath? No, it was neither of these. The answer is, Christ loves Boston sports and saved Paul Pierce. I know I know, I sound ridiculous, but I think it's true. I've read enough Bill Simmons to have seen this apocalypse coming. I don't know ...
NBA Player Carousel: Where Are They Now? [NBA]
Deadspin —
It's been a rather busy summer in the NBA: Extensions, trades, free agent signings, a few defections, and one notable overseas departure. And although guys like Kwame Brown and Randolph Morris are still looking in vain (and abject terror) for a new home, here's a semi-exhaustive list of the major, minor and (in some cases) meaningless player movement that has ocurred so far. Andrew Bogut: Prepare to be filled with hatred for a world that rewards men for simply growing to a height of at least seven feet: Bogut has signed a five-year extension with the Milwaukee Bucks that could pay him up to $76 million ...
Player Recaps and Predictions: Ronny Turiaf
Golden State Of Mind —
Before we roll into the upcoming regular season, let's take a look back at this current roster with a recap of their previous season (except for the rookies) and a prediction of what's coming up.
Hey! We finally got Ron Ron! Wait no...wrong one.
This one is a bit more intense....
You know what...at first I was pretty upset with this pick up. Out of all the people we could have signed in the offseason, was this guy REALLY worth 17 mil the next 4 years? Can this man really add to our defense like we hope him too?
Then I realized...after losing ...
