J.R. Smith's '360' alley-oop
Published 3/28/2008 at Ball Don't Lie
Via Pick Axe and Roll, Nuggets' x-factor J.R. Smith catches an alley-oop pass from Iverson, does a 360 spin (er, 270, whatever) and kisses the glass during the Denver's crucial 118-105 win over Dallas. Play of the night? You betcha! Minus the alley-oop part, this is my go-to H-O-R-S-E move. It's money in the bank. Because as easy as it might look, you'd be amazed by how many people can't jump in the air, spin around and lay in the basketball. Or maybe it's just my drunk, uncoordinated friends. Who knows?

Check out this sick alley-oop finish by J.R. Smith on a lob pass from former Sixer Allen Iverson.
J.R. Smith Continues to Be Completely Ridiculous

By Bethlehem Shoals Sometimes, strangers approach me on the street and ask "Hey Shoals, why the non-stop J.R. Smith love?" Well, here's some tip-top evidence. Yes, I know it's only a highlight. But think on the context: AI throwing the lob during a big Denver run, J.R. unafraid to embellish and prove something to the Mavs and team leader Iverson, all the Nuggers running around smiling afterward. He may be a problem child, but boy can he light up our lives. I've spent a lot of time weighing the Durant/Horford R.O.Y. race. This kind of play shows how staggering potential can be put into use within the context of winninginstead of being left ...

J.R. Smith ends things

I have nothing to add about J.R. Smith — see Shoals’ take for all the Smith love one man can muster. Instead, I’d like to focus on the one crowd member who really seems to get it. You’ll see him at about 28 or 29 seconds in. That man understands, perhaps better than anyone else in the arena, what just happened. That’s the international sign for “It’s over, son.”
That was game point, whether the refs knew it or not.

Fantasy Week #23: Get Down or Lay Down

If you’re still in contention for your league’s fantasy championship, go ahead and brush your shoulders off.
Injuries are always a major factor in deciding who’ll take home the hardware at the end of a fantasy season but there’s nothing worse than surprise DNPs during a playoff week.
After battling a slew of depleting injuries this season in my main league to Gilbert Arenas, Chris Bosh, Gerald Wallace, and most recently Dirk Nowitzki, fantasy fortune smiled upon me as Zach Randolph and Andrew Bogut (flu and nasal surgery) were both in the starting lineup for my opponent last ...
