You have to give it to the Wizards. They aren’t going down without a fight. Despite all of the distractions, the riff raff between LeBron James and DeShawn Stevenson, and the fact that they were down 3-1 on the road, they managed to pull out game 5 last night behind some late game heroics by Caron Butler. Maybe he should’ve taken the last second shot in game 4.
LeBron attempted to come back and make a last minute shot but it didn’t go down. ...

If anyone in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Washington DC heard 2 loud screams shortly after 8:30pm est last night, it was not a case of domestic abuse but just the result of these 2 plays. The odds are still long for the Wizards to win the series but all of the pressure is now on Lebron James to close them out. The Wiz are supposed to lose to the King. I don’t think Jordan, Kobe, or CP3 (just to name a few) miss this shot…
Now, the reason I say surprising is because Cleveland did ...

Cleveland's big mid-season trade continues to be a big-time failure. Delonte West was decent (12 points, 8 assists, zero turnovers), but he shot 4-for-11. Wally World shot 1-for-6 and had just as many turnovers as points (4). Ben Wallace had 2 points, 2 missed freethrows, 6 rebounds, and 3 fouls. Joe Smith scored 1 point, shot 0-for-6, and grabbed 4 rebounds (which means he was outrebounded by both of Washington's starting guards). When a ...
