Best Musical Tribute To Jason Bay I've Ever Seen
Published 5/14/2008 by Camp Tiger Claw at Walkoff Walk
I'm going to let the music do the talking here. It's a tribute to the Pirates' pretty decent outfielder Jason Bay. It's sung in an angelic falsetto and set to the melody of The Beatles' classic, "Yesterday." Make sure you're sitting down for this one. ...

ZE EAR BUDS, ZAY DO NOZHING!
Published 5/14/2008 at With Leather
"Yesterday" by The Beatles is often said to be the most-covered song of all-time, so there isn't much more you can do to destroy its integrity. A woman named Julia Tucker, who's apparently styling herself as the female Ryan Parker in the way I style myself as the non-robot Bender, has this Yesterday-ripping paean to the greatness of Pirates' outfielder Jason Bay. As the video shows, there's so much to appreciate, from Bay's beady eyes, his relaxed but firm posture and even the bottom half of his shirt.  It may be lacking in complete ...

Jason Bay, By Sir Paul McCartney
Published 5/14/2008 by Eamonn Brennan at FanHouse
Filed under: Pirates, NL Central, MLB Video, Pittsburgh Jason Bay. Yesterday. These things rhyme, of course, but just because two things rhyme doesn't mean one of those things should be adapted into the other. For example, the above song -- which uses The Beatles' classic "Yesterday" as the background music for an ode to Jason Bay -- is not something I would recommend imitating. Your version is sure to fall short of the original, naturally, but even worse is that you'd never replicate the above brilliance in a million years. A thousand ...

Hedo Turkoglu And Jason Bay Get Stalked
Published 5/14/2008 at FanIQ Blog
People often wish they were star pro athletes, which is understandable. You're rich, famous, and women throw themselves at you. That's all well and good, but there are also some serious disadvantages to being a pro athlete - like stalkers who worship you in scary and unsettling ways. First up is this video courtesy of Walkoff Walk (via With Leather) of a fan who has something of a crush on Jason Bay. She mangles the Beatles' "Yesterday" in the process of slobbering all over Bay and it's hard to make out anything she says because she starts at an octave that pierces ear drums. ...

Jason Bay Tribute Song
Published 5/19/2008 by Tony Baldwin at Inside The Ballpark - Baseball Humor Blog
It’s true. A fan of Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Jason Bay has written a song about him and his baseball ability. If you haven’t seen this yet, I recommend you check it out for a good laugh. I will warn you that the female singer sings in a very high octave the entire song, which is set to the rhythm and sound of ‘Yesterday’ by The Beatles. Here’s the video - Tags: Jason Bay, musical tribute, Pittsburgh Pirates, video Share This

Top Twenty Fantasy Baseball Surprises
Published 6/18/2008 by Grey at Fantasy Baseball Blog at Razzball
2008 Fantasy Baseball is similar to every of year of fantasy baseball in its dissimilarity of the similar. Hey, I sound like Dr. Suess after three Coladas. (BTW, I’m not implying Dr. Seuss was a drunk. He seemed like a peyote man to me.) To paraphrase Sinatra, “Fantasy baseball surprises… Yeah, we’ve had a few.” Since it’s almost halfway through the 2008 season, here’s a look at the top twenty fantasy baseball surprises according to me. Who am I? The CEP (Chief Executive ‘Pert) for the number one fantasy baseball blog. That’s who. (Or whom. I can’t ever figure out the ...

Nate McLouth? Who IS This Man?!?

Where did Nate McLouth come from?? I mean, he has been in the majors since 2005. He hasn't hit better than .258. He hasn't topped 13 homeruns in a season in his professional career. He had to earn a spot on the Pirates roster in Spring Training. Sounds like another utility guy. But is he the next Barry Bonds?
