It's guys like Jason Maxiell that don't get enough love around the NBA for their role playing, energy boosting plays. Problem for Maxiell is that the Pistons are full of these types of player, but Monday was his night.
Kevin Garnett was primed for an easy emphatic dunk in the first quarter. Maxiell, trailing by at least 10 yards, had other plans. He ate himself some Celtics babies and devoured this KG dunk attempt.
This morning the Pistons are crediting the block as the momentum turning play of the series.

During the Celtics and Pistons game last night KG broke away for what appeared to a clear dunk attempt. It didn’t quite work out like that for him.
