76 Classic Had Two "Dunks of the Year"
FanHouse —
by Adam Filed under: ACC, Mid-MajorsNobody might have witnessed these dunks in person, but the 76 Classic in Anaheim featured two dunks that could have considered "Dunks of the Year" candidates. The first, which you might have seen on SportsCenter, featured Wake Forest's Jeff Teague dunking around Cal State's Gerard Anderson. But don't feel bad for Anderson. He had a more impressive dunk against UNC Charlotte on Sunday. (Trust me, it's worth clicking to the second page.) 76 Classic Had Two "Dunks of the Year" originally appeared on NCAA ...
Dunkability: The 76 Classic brings the pain
The Dagger —
The (Phillips) 76 Classic is not Maui, or the Preseason NIT. It gets
very little love from people like you and me. Those two sentences
almost rhymed. I promise that was unintentional. What I'm trying to say
is that no one really watches the 76 Classic. It's a sad fact of life. ...
Gerard Anderson had more attack than Lamont Mack
Sports Crackle Pop —
Cal State Fullerton’s Gerard Anderson threw down a thunderous knee-to-chest dunk on Charlotte’s Lamont Mack during the 76 Classic. In my opinion it more than made up for the posterizing he took from Wake Forest’s Jeff Teague just a couple days before. What do you think?

Chris Wright, Gerard Anderson, Jeff Teague Dunks Of The Year
FanIQ Blog —
I don't really watch college basketball that much until March Madness. That's primarily because I don't find the athleticism in the college nearly as intriguing as the athleticism in the NBA. By which I mean I don't see nearly as many guys in college getting dunked on. But that's all changing this year. Already we've seen three potential dunks of the year. ...
The Sky is Falling on Tobacco Road: Mighty UNC Loses to Wake, Drops to 0-2 in the ACC
The Big Lead —
Forgive the headline hyperbole, but we wanted to grab your attention, and slobbering all over Jeff Teague’s sick 34-point performance may not have done the trick. Obviously the Tar Heels aren’t really in trouble, but whatever air of invincibility UNC came into the season with, has vanished.
But first, Teague. You may know him from ridiculous dunks like this and this, but did you know he was a creative guard with an insatiable search for points? In Winston Salem last night, he’d drive and contort in mid-air, and then land a few minutes later and Tim Brado would flip out and the ...
Idiot’s Blog Guide to the 2009 NBA Draft 2.1: Man-Crush Edition
NBAMate —
Its tournament time for collegiate basketball and that means only one thing: it’s time for another Idiot’s Guide to the 2009 NBA Draft Man-Crush Edition, or as Ric Bucher would say IBGTT09NBADMCR. Last year’s Man-Crush blog saw me seduced by the point guard smarts of Super Mario Chalmers, the cuddliness of Derrick Rose and the flashy yet fundamental flair of Mr Russell Westbrook. Who are the perfect matches this year?
It’s probably worth reminding our readers of the formal definition of a man-crush before we go any further.
Man-Crush (n)
An intense liking of a male ...
