Mark Sanchez Has A Mid-Game Snack
BlitzNation —
New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was so hungry after lighting up the Oakland Raiders secondary on Sunday, he stole a hot dog from a fan and tried to secretly eat it while sitting on the bench. Some people are actually criticizing Sanchez for grabbing a bite to eat while the game was still going on, but I don’t see anything wrong with it. The dude was hungry. Who cares!? It’s not like he was sitting there chewing tobacco.

Mark Sanchez Eats Hot Dog On Sidelines, Video. File this under “That just happened”. I also love that he takes the time to apply the condiment. If you are going to eat a hot dog on the sidelines, at least make sure it tastes good. With his use of ninja like wiener hiding skills, some might even say that Mr. Sanchez ate this hot dog in a poised fashion.
They blew out the Raiders, so this had no ill effect.
Hat tip BSO.

During the Jets’ 38-0 blowout win over the Raiders yesterday, things got so relaxed on the NY sideline that QB Mark Sanchez had time to fit in a mid-game snack. Check out Sanchez taking down a hot dog like he was Kobayashi:

NFL Week 7 Monday Morning Quarterback
Cippin on Sports —
A rather strange week in the NFL. There were a few close games but the real stat is that there were 6 games decided by 28 points or more. That was the first time it happened since 1970. This year more also has three unbeatens at this point in the season (Saints, Colts, Broncos), the first time it has happened in NFL history. Now onto my thoughts on week in ...
Sanchez takes it easy.
Broadway Beatdown —
So the ‘big’ revelation from today is that Mark Sanchez found the Raiders game so easy that he had time to eat a hot dog with extra mustard. Sanchez chows down on You Tube.
CBS caught Sanchez despite his best efforts yesterday, causing Mark a bit of agitation. He explained that the incident was due to him not eating much due to a minor illness during the week despite some opining that he was just so relaxed in the California sun that he felt he didn’t need to pay full attention to such an easy game. Admittedly it was a walkover for the Jets but I’m sure he was just hungry and that’s that. No disrespect meant. The ...

... of hunger, the apology probably came as a means to protect his image. In other words, darn the Raiders are so easy to beat that I can enjoy a delicious snack while doing so. And who knows? Maybe this will spark a new trend, in which every winning quarterback will enjoy a victory wiener. Check out the “Mark Sanchez Hot Dog Sneak” video below, and then tell us your opinion in our comment section.
Hot Dog Gate Turns Positive (Mark Sanchez)
Intentional Foul —
After being crucified for eating a hot dog on the sideline during the Oakland Raiders beatdown, Mark Sanchez is turning lemons — or in this case, hot dogs — into good fortune for others. Sanchez was hammered pretty hard for his late-game snack, but that hasn’t stopped him from doing something good with all the publicity: Donating over a thousand hot dogs and hamburgers to a soup kitchen in his area. Hopefully, this will put an end to incessant chirping about Sanchez’ eating habits during football games.
Was seeing Sanchez eat the hot dog eyebrow-raising? ...
Mark Sanchez Gets a Little More Penitent About Hot Dog Incident

As we've already mentioned this week, Mark Sanchez was caught eating a hot dog on the sidelines late in the Jets win Sunday in Oakland. It caused a minor stir, but he apologized and it seemed all was quickly forgotten.
Except now Sanchez really wants to pour on the ...
