The most entertaining 243rd pick in NFL Draft history
Published 4/29/2008 at Shutdown Corner
Among the things I like about this video: 1) The Jets fans in the building, booing the random contest-winner for absolutely no reason. "Look, it's a living, breathing person! Screw that guy! BOOOOOO!" 2) Mike Mayock asking Adam Schefter if he likes the pick, and Schefter being absolutely frozen, before Jamie Dukes starts laughing because he knows Schefter has nothing to say. 3) The NFL Network crew had outstanding chemistry all weekend long. Even late into the second day, when the draft itself is as boring as a 4-hour ...

Hey, Jets Fans, Boo That Man!
Published 4/29/2008 at The Sporting Blog
Thanks to Spencer's due diligence at the Draft over the weekend, we saw first hand that the Jets, incredibly, didn't "boo" the team's first round pick. Perhaps this was because they approved the selection of Vernon Gholston, or maybe it was because they were saving it up to "boo" this average Joe, who was busy trying to enjoy what was likely one of the highlights of his existence: Thank goodness they got that outta their systems. The greater New York area really can't afford to have a bunch of unruly Jets fans wandering around with unused boos brewing in the bellies. (H/T: Shutdown Corner )

Rookie Sleepers Can Be Found in Every Round

You can go anywhere to read that Darren McFadden landed in a crowded Oakland backfield, or that Rashard Mendenhall’s fantasy value takes a hit sharing carries with Willie Parker in the Steel City. Both of these situations are commonly known among average fans. I decided to dig a little deeper, to bring your attention to the fantasy diamonds in the rough of the 2008 NFL Draft
