Bob's Blog - Live from Lewisville —
Looking at the latest from the Wildcard run-in, it would seem we could probably eliminate Washington from this mix. Otherwise, you can certainly make a case for everyone. It sure looks like Atl, TB, and Dallas will all get to 10 and maybe 11 wins. The most Philly can get is 10-5-1, so they would beat anyone at 10-6. Meanwhile, Chicago seems like 10-6 might be close to assured with the Packers and Texans already making their plans for January in Cabo. Meanwhile, of the 6 teams on this chart, only Philly and Dallas have tough Week 17's as they play eachother. Meanwhile, everyone else looks like they have a lay-up. This is going to be a wild few ...
Hockey Fight Of The Day: Jody Shelley, San Jose Sharks vs Raitis Ivanans, Los Angeles Kings
FanIQ Blog —
Jody Shelley and Raitis Ivanans threw down during Monday night's Sharks-Kings game, which the Sharks won, 3-2. Shelley felt the wrath of Ivanans, who is listed as 6'4" and 263 pounds. Shelley is no slouch at 6'4" and 230, but Ivanans is a huge beast. Shelley managed to knock his helmet off. but Ivanans still got in quite a few shot to Shelley's head, and it looked like he won the fight. But you can choose for yourself.

Thoughts From the Kings-Sharks Game
Battle of California —

-The Kings played pretty well last night. I dare say they outplayed the Sharks for most of the game. What really was the difference in the game was the Sharks' excellent special teams against the Kings, whose own special teams were surprisingly sucky. The Kings had 5 power plays to the Sharks' 1, yet it was the Sharks who had the lone power play goal of the game. To make matters worse, the Sharks' other goal came short-handed thanks to a pretty monumental fuck-up by Drew Doughty. The Kings still don't really feel like they have any movement or life on their power play; it's ...
Hockey Notes - December 18th
Sharkspage San Jose Sharks NHL hockey and local sports blog —
- The San Jose Sharks reached a dead spot in the 2008-09 schedule, with back-to-back non-televised games against Los Angeles and Columbus. An online stream of SJ-LA on Yahoo was also blacked out in a 50 mile radius of San Jose. After reading through a number of emails, fans are not happy. It is a direct contrast to the media attention that has exploded around this team after the best start after 30 games in NHL history.
Notes from the 2-1 loss to Columbus on Wednesday:
The Sharks earned 5-2 and 3-2 wins over Columbus earlier this season at HP Pavilion, but ...
