Most of you remember my post a few months ago chronicling the jumping ability of Joey Gathright. We watched in amazement as the short former Rays outfielder leaped over two sedans in a vacant parking lot. A young man back then, Gathright was signed in part because of this freakish athletic ability, making it all the way to the majors leagues despite a lack of overall baseball acumen. He’s yet to find a home, although things are looking up for him this year in Kansas City. He has a shot to start in the outfield for the Royals, getting at bats while continuing to tantalize fans and scouts alike with his off the charts ...
