Quality Start: O – HI! – (O)
Major League Jerk —
Oh hi, everyone. Today is a big day for Buckeye fans and Michigan “fans.” The Buckeyes are a dominating 7-1 since Jim Tressel took the reigns of the program, and today should be another pretty easy tOSU win. To my Cleveland readers, I encourage you to check out Snuggie Fest today. Friend of MLJ, Lozo, gives a pretty enticing preview here:
But if you bring $25 to this bar, you get a Snuggie and your choice of either six beers or three mixed drinks. Also with the fee, you get to be ashamed of yourself for the rest of your life.
Sounds like fun to me!

Flying High. The best team in the NBA right now nests in Atlanta. The 11-2 Hawks have wins over the Blazers, Nuggets, and Celtics, and their Friday night win was maybe the most dramatic of the season, coming on the above Josh Smith putback ...

Hoops Haven —
Atlanta’s Josh Smith continued his impressive play as of late by tipping in a missed shot by Mike Bibby with 0.7 seconds remaining to give the Hawks their 7th straight win and maintain a hold on the league’s best record at 11-2. ONE: A mixed week in the NBA, as far as the Aussie contingent goes. The bad news obviously being that Bogut injured his leg. The good news is that Bogut thinks he can get back on the court quicker than the 2-4 weeks that was initially diagnosed.
I had a similar injury my second year when I got hurt in the (open team) scrimmage. I missed the whole training camp. They said eight to 10 weeks and I was back in four. This is not as bad. Hopefully I can take the challenge up and try to beat that two to four weeks, if I can. It’s painful at the ...

Basketball Fiend —
Josh Smith has been ferocious. It only makes sense that he would seal one of Atlanta’s biggest wins of the season — Friday’s 105-103 victory over the Magic — with a flying putback. With all due respect to game-winners from Kevin Garnett ...
