Indiana had a nine point lead with a minute to go, which usually means game over in an NBA contest. The Nuggets however weren't ready to quit, and they cut the lead to three before J.R. Smith attempted a three-pointer from the corner -- and was fouled by Mike Dunleavy Jr. That's right, three free throws for Smith, and a chance to tie the game! I'm not sure if any of you guys are following the Pacers this season, but they are off to a decent start (especially for a team playing without its best player). Anyways, they won a pretty close game last night after nearly giving up an 18 point lead: The Pacers (7-8), who led by 18 early in the game, looked safe when Dunleavy's 3-pointer with a minute left gave them a 106-97 lead. But the Nuggets rallied, and with Indiana leading 111-108 in the final seconds, Dunleavy fouled Smith on a 3-point attempt to put him on the line.
