Memphis and Kansas Make it an All 1-Seed Final Four
FanIQ Blog —
I'll be remembering this tournament for Stephen Curry and the Davidson run that was far from a miracle. They belonged and were one Curry shot away from the Final Four. That's OK, though, as we're now set for the best semifinals matcups in recent memory. When this is over, Steph Curry may have to make room for remember this as one of the best finals ever.
Memphis apparently didn't wash the floor enough with the Spartans and had some work to do with Texas. The Tigers even went out and shot 83.3 percent from the foul line, the best of any team in the Elite Eight. John Calipari would like you ...
Great Kansas Defense Forced Stephen Curry to Pass Up Final Shot
FanHouse —
Filed under: Kansas Basketball, Big 12 Basketball, March Madness, NCAA Basketball Video, Davidson BasketballSunday's Kansas-Davidson game was all set for the most perfect of storybook endings: Davidson star Stephen Curry hits a three-pointer to send his team to the Final Four. Except that's not how it ended: But when you watch the last 10 seconds of that video, pay close attention to why Curry wasn't able to take that last-second shot. It was just about the best defense you'll ever see in that situation, as Kansas did everything humanly possible to force Curry to ...
All Four Ones

Syndicate this site [image] Led by Bosh, Raptors Starters Get a "W" | Main All Four Ones Posted by Jessica Smith on April 01, 2008 Each team in the Final Four this year is a No. 1 seed. This is the first time this has ever happened. Nobody picks all No. 1s because you expect the odd upset. I was feeling a little hate on my bracket, but I am still alive feeding off life support with Memphis in that Final Four mix. There will be no Curry in the Final Four feast. Davidson’s shock and awe ride through this March Madness tournament has come to an end. Their efforts were not totally in vain. Stephen Curry proved that his ...
Will the Russian Borat fan win the NCAA crown?
Ball in Europe - European Basketball Blog —
Will the Russian Borat fan win the NCAA crown? Well, this title may sound a bit strange but I try to give some info about the NCAA Final Four that is played this weekend in San Antonio. What has this to do with Europe? Well there are some Europeans playing in San Antonio with their respective schools. While the teams of Memphis and North Carolina are set up only with Americans, the two other contenders UCLA and Kansas feature also some talent from Europe. And why am I talking about Borat here? Well, this article from the New York Times ...
The 10 Best Games of the 2008 NCAA Tournament
College Hoops Journal —
Who said it was a down year? Give me 10 games of the caliber listed below and I’ll be fine if the other 54 are snoozers.
I do run a bracket pool every year, and in the final e-mail I compile this list, so I’m quite happy to have another outlet to share my opinion on the matter. Let’s relive the 10 best out of the 64 that were played. I judge the game with complete disregard for when the game took place in The Tournament. I judge it on how into it the teams, crowd, announcing pair, people around me, etc. This is subjective, but I think you’d have a hard time taking any other game and putting it into this list. ...
The NIT has feelings too
DETROIT4LYFE —
We all know what time of the year it is: It's mid-March Madness and time for the incessant filling out of NCAA basketball brackets, hoping to have that perfect, million dollar one and be the guy who can run around the office saying, "I correctly picked George Mason to go to the sweet sixteen in one of my thirty brackets. I'm so smart. Praise me." And we'll get to all that hoopla, trust me. It's a great year because Michigan is back in the tournament for the first time since my brothers and I would draft teams and play out the games on our five foot Little Tikes hoops ...
