Kevin Garnett Clutches up For the Win
X’s & O’s of Basketball — Talk about a difficult game to watch tonight between the Celtics and the Cavs. Both teams just were not able to get into any kind of rhythm and neither team was able to get any transition offense going. Ultimately, the game came down to Kevin Garnett of the Celtics making some shots down the stretch and Lebron James missing some shots down the stretch. The last 3 real possessions for the Celtics ended up with KG scoring a 20-footer to tie, Sam Cassell free throws from a post-up ISO to go ahead, and KG spinning into the lane on a post-up ISO to go ahead again for good. Here were the 2 last Garnett plays, ...

NBA Playoffs: What Was That? An Exhibition?
Intentional Foul — I’m not sure what that was last night, but I don’t think it was playoff-level basketball we were watching. Of the four marquee names in this series — Kevin Garnett, LeBron James, Paul Pierce and Ray “Jesus” Allen — only KG showed up to play. The rest of these big-named players combined to ...

Cavs' Poor Defensive Decisions Late Cost Them Game 1
FanHouse — Filed under: Celtics, Cavaliers, NBA Playoffs, NBA Videos There's no question that Game 1 of the Cavaliers-Celtics series was painful to watch. I mean, how many times will you see LeBron James, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen combine for just 16 points in an entire game? The only one that was on last night was Kevin Garnett (28 points), but that was mainly due to Cleveland's bad defense, especially on the last couple of possessions. Take a look at the last two times KG scored -- first to tie the game then to give his team the lead -- and then we'll discuss. ...
