It was a difficult decision, one he thought about for months, but Kevin Hart has selected California over Oregon! He becomes the first Fernley athletic to receive a full scholarship to a Division I-A school directly out of high school. "They really sold me," Hart said. "Coach [Jeff] Tedford and I talked a lot, and the fact that the head coach did most of the recruiting of me kind of gave me the real personal experience." Oregon, obviously, will be pissed.

I can't wait to get down to New Orleans. The obvious reason for this would be the All-Star game on Saturday. The more important reason is that it's been like 50 degrees below zero all week in Bismarck. Blizzard and cold weather warnings have been in effect for a few days. I heard that the wind chill was down to like 73 below. That's colder than anything I can fathom. The Midwest would have to be the coldest place on earth right now. Even penguins would fly south for the winter if they lived in North Dakota. I would feel like a sham for icing my knees after practice.
