Kevin Hart Selects ... Cal!
Published 2/9/2008 by dawizofodds at The Wizard of Odds
It was a difficult decision, one he thought about for months, but Kevin Hart has selected California over Oregon! He becomes the first Fernley athletic to receive a full scholarship to a Division I-A school directly out of high school. "They really sold me," Hart said. "Coach [Jeff] Tedford and I talked a lot, and the fact that the head coach did most of the recruiting of me kind of gave me the real personal experience." Oregon, obviously, will be pissed.

Kevin Hart’s Joke On American Public Continues/Could Pay Off
Published 2/9/2008 by Cousins of Ron Mexico at The Big Lead
Unbelievable. Well, not totally unbelievable, I guess. You had to know that some college program was going to use Kevin Hart to get some quick easy publicity by talking to or about Kevin Hart. As chronicled here, there and everywhere else, Hart effed with all of us this week during the insanity of Signing Day. Today comes news that Jerry Glanville (of Run-and-Shoot fame, who is now coaching at Portland State) and his coaching staff are getting ready to take a look at The Big Idiot That Conned. Personally, I think Kevin Hart should just start working at the local paper mill. ...

Too much Rod Benson: Cal's football 'recruit' is an instant legend
Published 2/11/2008 at Ball Don't Lie
I can't wait to get down to New Orleans. The obvious reason for this would be the All-Star game on Saturday. The more important reason is that it's been like 50 degrees below zero all week in Bismarck. Blizzard and cold weather warnings have been in effect for a few days. I heard that the wind chill was down to like 73 below. That's colder than anything I can fathom. The Midwest would have to be the coldest place on earth right now. Even penguins would fly south for the winter if they lived in North Dakota. I would feel like a sham for icing my knees after practice. I can just as easily stand outside for 10-15 minutes and pretend I was in a cold ...

The Name of Kevin Hart's recruiter sounds kind of familiar..Kevin Riley?

Reports indicated that Hart's so called recruiter was named Kevin Riley. Isn't that the name of a certain Cal quarterback who ruined Cal's season with a last minute scramble versus Oregon State but then saved Cal's season at the Armed Forces bowl? Maybe Hart should try harder when it comes to making up names.

Should Kevin Hart Change The Recruiting Craze?
Recruiting in College Football has been important for several decades now. However, since the limit on scholarships has been added, there is a much greater demand for these seniors in High School. No longer can the powers just recruit every senior just so the other schools can't have them. This has now become a strategic process that has its own rankings and fan base. Recruiting ...
Kevin Hart to Cal: KABOOM!
At least, that's what one Cal fan thought when word leaked out that college football's confused Pinocchio had committed to their school. Too bad several coaches went on the record claiming he wasn't even a D-I talent . I don't mean to berate the kid here, I'm simply using coaches' evaluations to contrast with how excitable fans can get a commit that nobody had heard of and say things like: ...
Fernley Coach May Lose Job Over Hart Situation [Aftermath Of A Ruse]
Even more fallout from the bizarre Kevin Hart puts-a-Cal-hat-on signing day sham: The Fernely High School fraudster's coach, Mark Hodges, may lose his job. The Fernley school district administration is apparently pushing to not renew Hodges' contract, citing unprofessional conduct and fiscal irresponsibility. Last Wednesday, Hodges told the media that "Not at any time, at any moment in ...
Muddled Intent: The End of the Nevada High School Recruit Hoax
When the story of Nevada high school offensive lineman Kevin Hart first appeared here (after, you know, appearing elsewhere), it was clear that — however the story ended and despite his theatrical announcement that he would be doing just that — Hart was not going to play football at Cal. And in that sense, and probably that sense only, the incidents of the last few days — ...

Kevin Hart is Pathetically Awesome
That Kevin Hart story you read about yesterday ? Well apparently it was all a one man show, written, produced and performed by Kevin Hart. Cousins of Ron Mexico broke the story (on this site, that is) and was dead on with his assessment: “whoever did this was good - they were able to convincingly portray Cal Coach, Jeff Tedford.” You betcha.
I'll Never Trust Kevin Hart Again
On Tuesday of this week, I wrote about Kevin Hart and how he had been tricked into thinking he was being recruited by Cal and Oregon. The kid held a press conference in his small hometown of Fernley, Nevada to announce his decision. Then a few days later Hart found out that it was all just a prank somebody was pulling on him. At least, that's what he told us. As it turns out, Hart was
