Minnesota Shows Kevin Garnett Love, Celtics Edge Wolves My Quick Take: The game was an afterthought. Few cared what went down on-court between the Timberwolves and Celtics last night in Minnesota . The real story was pre-game. Would former Wolf and franchise stud Kevin Garnett show for fans to honor him with an ovation? Garnett, who toiled for twelve years in Minnesota before being traded to Boston last summer, has missed the last five games with abdominal trouble and watches from the locker room to avoid the pain from sitting on the bench. Here are some things I found around the Wolves boards during their game with the Celtics. We need a very adrenaline filled game by our players. KG is their defense anchor and he will not be playing tonight; he wants to play badly, but it would aggravate his injury. Less than 15 TO, ...

Kevin Garnett welcomed back to Minnesota
Ball Don't Lie —
It's bitterly cold out in Toronto this morning. (Eh.) Temperatures are currently hovering around the -15ºC mark, but when you factor in the wind-chill it feels a lot closer to -30ºC. (-22ºF for most of you warmer, wiser Americans). Thankfully, though, Timberwolves fans are here to warm the cockles of my heart. They know cold.
Homecoming.

‘Stu,’ I said, ‘you’ve got to take Jordan’
‘Bob we need a center.’
