Faildeo: Kobe Bryant Leaves Phil Jackson Hangin’
SPORTSbyBROOKS — SbB Live @ LA SbB Live 10/27/09 1:30pm RSS Feed 1:09 PM That was fast: Hours after he got popped for DUI , Bucs offensive lineman Marcus Johnson was cut by the team . Harsh? Sounds like it. Got to be more to the story. If Johnson was a hard-working, upstanding member of the team, I can't imagine the club would make that move. 12:50 PM Now I truly understand why Texas Tech players may well dislike their coach Mike Leach . How 'bout dude throwing them under the bus on their taste in women? Coach has issues. 12:29 PM We always knew that Mike Tirico was the consumate ...

Video: Kobe leaves Phil hangin'
Ball Don't Lie — According to The Urban Dictionary, it's considered rude to not return a high-five (or fist bump) when someone puts their hand in the air. The reasoning: There's no graceful way for them to lower it without someone returning the love — unless, of course, you're Phil Jackson. Then you just subtlety rub your face with your fist. Every Zen Master knows that. Cheers, SportsByBrooks.

Phil's no cool kid
Lakers Blog — Poor Zen Master. Dude not only gets left hanging by Kobe (although creativity points are in order for the "knuckle sandwich face scratch"), but his overly deliberate fist bump with Derek Fisher cracks me up.  The fingers lined up just so . Taking his time to get it right.  Reminds me of when I offer a bump to Mom, who returns it exactly like PJ and also looks out of her element. Ultimately, Kobe did Phil a favor by denying him the second pound. And if that still doesn't provide solace for Phil, he can look at another bright side. Better a denied fist bump from Kobe than an accepted high five from The Todd. Thanks to our man Skeets at ...

Forum Blue And Gold — Welcome to the first nomuskles live blog of the year! It seemed like this day would never come! Boston vs. Cleveland Neither team looked incredibly impressive (it’s early) but two things stuck out about Cleveland. Shaq is pretty much his same self and Lebron is getting nastier and nastier. He continued his trend of incredible blocks from behind and hit some nice looking jumpers. That young man is unstoppable. Championship Ring Presentation and Banner Unveiling The Lakers receive their championship rings tonight because, in case you might have ...

You Can't Leave Phil Jackson Hangin', Right?
Outside the Boxscore — During a pre-season game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets, Lakers Phil Jackson was chilling in his zen-like state. Then Lakers guard Derek Fisher decided to ask for a fist-bump which Phil gave him. A few seconds later, Kobe Bryant passed by Phil and Phil outstretched his hand for the fist bump. Well, Kobe did not oblige and Phil tried to cover it up. The only problem was that TNT camera caught the entire incident. (Courtesy of The Slanch Report) ...

Phil Jackson has an awkward moment
Krem's Sports Blog — Weird moment here: After Phil Jackson sits down in his chair and brushes off his shoulder, he offers a fist bump to Kobe Bryant. Normal stuff, right? Unfortunately for him, Kobe Bryant isn't looking. So Jackson does what any person would do (or not): He takes his fist and, trying to play it off, rubs both sides of his face -- or something like that. Anyway, here's the video: ...
