ptgloden as much as I hate the lakers, kobe is making it hard for me not to enjoy watching him/them. if new orleans doesn't pull out in game 7, I might even have to..... root..... for..... them...... what is happening to the world??

Jason That's the big difference between L.A. and San Antonio ... the Lakers are fun to watch whether you like them or not.

ryphilli The way Kobe is playing right now - and over the past three years - I've never seen anyone play on that level. Never. And I grew up watching Jordan religiously. It's so close between the two of them for who the greatest ever is and I don't think most people appreciate that.

At least a half-dozen times I told myself this game, series was over only to flip back and consider a possible comeback attempt by the Utah Jazz.
Down 19 at the half and 16 at the end of the third quarter Utah kept fighting. Impressive work, and managed to turn what was a blowout into a wildly entertaining final four minutes.
Even after Kobe Bryant did his "You can't stop me" back to back three point plays (video below) that should have been the dagger, the Jazz got to within three points in the final seconds setting up this last sequence.

Kobe Bryant is a man on a mission right now. He is not going to let any obstacles stop him. Just watch his determination in this play last night against the Jazz. They tried fouling him in midair but he didn’t let that stop him and in the process and he let them know they wouldn’t be stopping him this evening.
