Video: Lakers Appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live
Basketball Fiend — After winning the championship on Sunday, enjoying a parade in their honor on Wednesday, and partying it up with Lil Wayne and Kanye West on Thursday, the Lakers made an appearance on the late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live on Friday. Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher, Pau Gasol, and Trevor Ariza came out for the first segment and were later joined by Jordan Farmar, Shannon Brown, Adam Morrison, Josh Powell, and DJ Mbenga. (Lamar Odom was apparently too busy stuffing his mouth with gummy bears to attend.) Kobe is obviously having fun on the show (he’s a late night veteran) and D-Fish has some good one-liners, but DJ Mbenga steals the show with his ridiculous, fun-loving antics. ...

The Lakers on Jimmy Kimmel
That NBA Lottery Pick — If my memory serves me correct, I cannot remember the last time a group of players from an NBA World Champion was on a late-night talk show together. However, Jimmy Kimmel Live pulled off that feet by having 9 of the 12 Lakers players being interviewed. The first half of the interview was Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher, Pau Gasol, and Trevor Ariza. The second half of the interview included Jordan Farmar, DJ Mbenga, Josh Powell, Shannon Brown, and Adam Morrison. All in All, it is very solid interview and you get to hear some humor from an NBA Champion. ...

The End of the Bench
Forum Blue And Gold — In the wake of our Lakers’ brilliant 2009 NBA Championship campaign and subsequent selling of draft picks, the league has sprung full-force into the off-season: Jefferson to the Spurs, Foye and Miller to the Wizards, Crawford to the Hawks, and most recently, Shaq to the Cavs, are just some of the big trades that have gone down. Here at FB&G, there has been much discussion about free agency, mostly dedicated to the luxury tax, Lamar Odom, and Trevor Ariza.
