Postcards from L.A., Volume 5: Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals
emptythebench.com 5/5/2008 — Sunday was a domestic business day for me – do laundry, pay bills, retrieve groceries, run errands – not the most exciting or enjoyable time, but necessary to my continued survival. The Lakers 109-98 victory over the Utah Jazz was a similar endeavor as The Purple and Gold handled their respective chores and got the Game 1 win.
Lakers/Jazz Thoughts
forumblueandgold.com 5/5/2008 — Some assorted thoughts from Game One, we’ll break down the details in the coming days:
• I enjoyed that game because I enjoy watching two teams that know how to pass. That was smart hoops.
• I also said this series was about defense — Utah shot ...
Ace in the hole
latimesblogs.latimes.com 5/6/2008 —
The Lakers were able to overcome a week’s absence from playing and take game one from the Jazz but it was certainly not an easy win. Had the Lakers not benefited from the presence of Kobe Bryant they might not have that victory put away.

Game 2 thoughts, mine and otherwise
lakersblog.latimes.com 5/8/2008 — Clearly I'm not going out on a limb when I say tonight's Game 2 is absolutely massive for Utah. Good as they are at home should they fall behind 2-0 to the Lakers, the idea that they could rip off four of the next five seems a little far-fetched. ...
Really, it's not supposed to look this easy
lakersblog.latimes.com 5/8/2008 — The Lakers entered Wednesday night's Game 2 against Utah having never lost on a night where Kobe Bryant was presented with an MVP trophy. For that matter, the Lakers had yet to suffer a blemish during their playoff run, going a perfect 5-0. Both ...
Lakers Jazz game three preview
mvn.com 5/9/2008 — The Lakers head to Utah with a 2-0 lead in their best of seven series. So far the Lakers are undefeated in the play-offs, and are playing with that swagger that borders on over confidence. Other then a decided rebounding edge, Utah didn’t play their best ball in LA and are looking to get it back at home. Home is where they are 37-4, so the Lakers have their work cut out for them.
Big Performance by Boozer Powers Jazz to Victory
20secondtimeout.blogspot.com 5/10/2008 — Carlos Boozer scored nine straight points for Utah in less than three minutes in the fourth quarter to help the Jazz hold off a late Lakers' rally in game three of their second round series. He finished with 27 points and tied a playoff career-high with 20 rebounds in Utah's 104-99 win.
Behind the box score, where a Jazz win is as easy as 1, 2 ... and 8
sports.yahoo.com 5/10/2008 — Utah
104, Los Angeles Lakers 99
This all seemed so typical, so obvious. At just about every
point within this Game 3, it felt as if we'd seen this sort of Game 3 probably
75 times before.
Two great teams -- with one finally playing at home, ...
Behind the box score: where KB has earned everything he's gotten
sports.yahoo.com 5/11/2008 — Los
Angeles Lakers 120, Utah 110
Utah outscored the Lakers by five over the final three
quarters of this game, and I'll probably look like a fool once the Jazz take
both games in Utah (though playing at home on Sunday might feel odd), but ...
Meet Deron Fisher, bona fide Jazz-stopper —
Odenized
Odenized video clip on YouTube | Download David Aldridge normally has that kool, kalm keep when interviewing on the sidelines. Not at halftime when talking to Derek Fisher about the Lakers ' manhandling of the Jazz . Goodness around 0:18 .
