Kiffin Says Meyer Was Cheating
The Wiz of Odds —
Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin accused Florida's Urban Meyer of a recruiting violation during a gathering Thursday at the Knoxville Convention Center. Kiffin claims Meyer called Pahokee, Fla., receiver Nu'Keese Richardson several times while Richardson was on an official visit to Tennessee, a violation of NCAA rules. Richardson ended up signing with Tennessee. "I'm going to turn Florida in right here in front of you," Kiffin said. "While Nu'Keese was on campus, his phone kept ringing. One of the coaches says, 'Who's that?' And he said, 'Urban Meyer.'
"I love the fact that Urban had to cheat ...
Giddy Teenage Boy Resembling Tennessee Coach Lane Kiffin Calls Urban Mayer a Cheater
The Sporting Blog —
You have to like new Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin for one thing, at least: he has zero filter whatsoever, a rarity for a public figure not named "Charles Barkley" or "Lily Allen." He says what he thinks, and often does so like an excited adolescent listing his impressive array of accomplishments in World of Warcraft. ("This guy in my recruiting guild named Orgeron casts a level 12 recruiting spell like you wouldn't believe, and my dad even plays!") ...

Lane Kiffin Accuses Urban Meyer Of Recruiting Violations
FanIQ Blog —
After being fired from the Oakland Raiders and taking over Tennessee football team that was absolutely abysmal last year, Lane Kiffin is doing everything he can to make things just a little tougher on himself.
In a press conference on Signing Day, Kiffin called out one of the best in the business, two-time National Champion Urban Meyer. Kiffin said that Meyer violated recruiting rules by calling a recruit while he was visiting the Tennessee campus. Ironically, that recruit ended up signing with Tennessee anyway, which Kiffin cleverly chose to rub in Meyer's face.
That should make ...

If You’re Going to Call Out One of the Best Coaches in the Country on a Rules Vioation, Knowing the Rules Might Help
The Big Lead —
The day before he arrived in the SEC, Lane Kiffin got into a little kerfuffle with South Carolina’s Steve Spurrier. Two months later, on Kiffin’s first signing day with Tennessee, he took a shot at another SEC coach, Urban Meyer (video after the jump), calling the budding Gators legend a “cheater.” Who is this clown?
Oh, and his blustery allegations about cheating were completely off base and he was forced to quickly apologize. Maybe Al Davis was right about Kiffin?

LOTD: Lane Kiffin Proves That He Has a Hot Wife, But No Clue - Then Apologizes
Midwest Sports Fans —
Lane Kiffin has a lot going for him right now. He has one of the 10-15 best college football head coaching jobs in America at the University of Tennessee. He has one of the best defensive coordinators in the world, his dad Monte, coordinating his defense. He just brought in a top-20 recruiting class to Knoxville despite the disadvantage of only being on the job for a couple months. And, of course, he has a very attractive wife (who, apparently, the owners of this website would “do”.)
However, what Lane Kiffin does not have, apparently, is a clue.

Thank You, Lane Kiffin

I come not to bury Lane Kiffin, but to praise him.
And not in the Julius Caesar sense, either: I’m really excited by what Kiffin’s doing in Knoxville.

• Mmmm, those are good genes. It is true that, as far as really elite quarterback prospects go, Nick Montana is notable mainly for a) Following the fawned-over poster child of the Class of '07, Jimmy Clausen, at California's Oaks Christian Academy, and b) being Joe Montana's son. Though he has offers from almost every major school in the country, Nick's only rated as the No. 12 "pro-style" quarterback by Rivals in a relatively weak 2010 class, and doesn't even make its list of the top 250 prospects overall. Still, for a first-time head ...

Welcome To Hate Tennessee Week
Alligator Army —
Your blood is already boiling at the sight of the team at the top of this post. Let me turn up the heat a little bit for you;
"I'm really looking forward to embracing some of the great traditions at the University of Tennessee, for instance the Vol Walk, running through the T, singing 'Rocky Top' all night long after we beat Florida next year," Kiffin said. "It will be a blast."
Thinking about running through a brick wall to get at Lane Kiffin? Wait, here's one more;
