Terrific night to curl up in front the TV with some hot chocolate, the remote, and, for leisure reading, this article on impending food crisis. To everyone taking off tonight or tomorrow morning for the holiday, safe travels. To the rest of you, we’ll be on the scene early tomorrow as usual.

LeBron's day in NY: ESPN and the rest of the NY media machine are firing on all cylinders + POLL
Fear The Sword —
Just to preface everything, this is the first time I've used pictures and videos in a fanpost. So please bear with me if it's not presented in the most organized fashion, I'm still learning.
The media is really buzzing with stories of LeBron heading to NY today. These are the sotries that I found most intriguing. I think the ESPN article from Chris Broussard was the best piece written on LeBron's future since the big trades on Friday. The shoes show an obvious infatuating LeBron has with NY. And it's nice to see LeBron actually talk a little about the situation in the video, although he does do a good job of dodging most of the questions.
Anyway, let ...

Cavs Rout Listless Knicks, 119-101
Cleveland Cavaliers News —
Cavs Rout Listless Knicks, 119-101 Some people considered Tuesday night’s Cleveland-New York game to be a chance for the Knicks to showcase why LeBron James should sign with them in two years but it rapidly turned into a good demonstration of why the NBA’s leading scorer should think long and hard before leaving his current team; the Cavaliers led by as many as 34 points en route to a 119-101 victory and they controlled the game so thoroughly that James did not even play in the fourth quarter. James finished with 26 points, four rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes. Six other Cavs scored in double figures, including Delonte West (16 points), Wally Szczerbiak ...

Pregame Q&A with New York Media
Cleveland Cavaliers News —
Pregame Q&A with New York Media Q: Hey LeBron, would you like to play for the Knicks someday? A: Right now I’m trying to focus on what I have at task. That’s the Cavs and us getting better everyday and compete for a championship. To bring that type of distraction to our team right now would be unfair to my team, the coaching staff and the rest of the organization. Q: You’re not blind, teams are making trades and it is clear what teams are trying to do. A: July 1 of 2010 is going to be a big day. It’s probably going to be one of the biggest days in the history of free agency in the NBA. A lot of teams are gearing up to put themselves in position to get one of ...

LeBron’s “Chalk” Commercial Set to Air This Thanksgiving Day [image] This Thanksgiving holiday Nike will debut its latest television commercial, “Chalk,” which features basketball star LeBron James. The 30 and 60-second U.S. television spots draw its inspiration from LeBron’s pre-game ritual of tossing talcum powder into the air at the scorers’ table before each home and away game. The pre-game ritual of LeBron has become a symbol of the ultimate “Just Do It” moment. The ad campaign, produced in cooperation with Portland, Ore.-based advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy is part of Nike’s integrated marketing and communication support for LeBron’s latest ...

Microsoft Shuts Down Lebron James Lebron James ruled the NBA since he was drafted. He slammed the ball on so many players and NBA stars and no one came close to shutting him down. However, the software giant shut him down. Yesterday, the software giant, Microsoft ended a two-year marketing partnership and left LebronJames.com as well as lebron.msn.com without a home. At the time of this post, all you see when you visit LebronJames.com is a Godaddy parked page (click on screenshot below). Cleveland Cavaliers News —
Does Lebron Need New York to Make Money? [image] When you talk to people around the league and Clevelanders, they will tell you that Lebron main reason for leaving Cleveland for a bigger market is off the court money. For example, Nike had a clause in Lebron’s contract that will pay him more if he played in a bigger market.“that clause in his contract expired after his rookie season.” Chris Broussard from ESPN Magazine said . Another great article I read today on ESPN by J.A. Adande talks about how Lebron is making more money in endorsement living and playing in Cleveland than “Yankees superstars Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter” ...

Charles Barkley criticizes LeBron Charles Barkley had a message for LeBron James this week. James gave him one back on Friday. On TNT’s “Inside the NBA” show Thursday, Barkley criticized James for entertaining questions about 2010 earlier this week in New York.“The outside forces should never affect your locker room,” Barkley said. “I think LeBron has made some of the right comments, but he hasn’t made the perfect comment. He still alienated 11 guys in his locker room.“If I was LeBron James, I would shut the hell up.” On Friday, James shook his head when asked about the comments.“He’s stupid,” James said of Barkley. “That’s all I have to say about that.” ...

Chalk up another W for the Cavaliers Warriors Don’t Play Nice in loss to Cavs One day after they were passing the cranberry sauce at a team dinner, the Warriors appeared to have forgotten how to share. Their 112-97 loss Friday to the Cleveland Cavaliers is perhaps best explained by a season-low 13 assists.“I have no clue what’s going on,” Stephen Jackson said. “We weren’t passing the ball. When we share the ball, good things happen. When everybody’s out there for self, we ain’t going to win like that.” Jackson added: “When we have success, we share the ball, we pass to the open man. We have everybody looking for the open man. We weren’t doing that tonight.” ...

Last year when he was a member of the Chicago Bulls, Wallace launched a partnership for a signature shoe and clothing line with Steve & Barry’s. Like Stephon Marbury, Wallace joined up with the discount sporting goods retailer to offer low-priced shoes and apparel. One of 11 children, Wallace grew up in a family where money was tight and was pleased he could be part of an effort to offer low-cost shoes. Like with Marbury, though, the good intentions did not work out.“Things didn’t happen the way they said they ...

Maybe for the Knicks, but not for the Cavs. Why?“We’re good,” he said. They’re also a world apart from the rebuilding Knicks, who were undermanned and overwhelmed yet again by an elite team in a 118-82 loss to LeBron and the Cavaliers last night at Quicken Loans Arena.“We ran into a good team without any gas in the tank and it showed,” Mike D’Antoni said of the Knicks (8-10), who were clearly worn down in the second game of a back-to-back. This time, Lebron held him to four points.“He’s the key to their team and they aren’t going to be as good if he’s not on,” said James. “I just took it upon myself to lock in on him and let my team on the other end take care of the offense. It was all about defense. We have enough guys who can score.” The victory is Cleveland’s seventh straight and 15th in the last 16. They are 11-0 at the ...

Orlando’s Dwight Howard leads all East players with just under 776,000 votes. James’ overall vote totals are down a bit this season and the reason is Yi Jianlian, who is getting strong support from his native China via online balloting. He is third in votes with more than 356,000. I would like to see Mo or Z move up the list. I noticed big Ben has ...

Assuming that the Cavs will be conservative in light of his previous injury history and that they ...
