Shocking MMA Double Knockout
Published 5/19/2008 by Michael David Smith at FanHouse
Filed under: Indianapolis, Fighting, MMA, MMA/BoxingThis is the type of video that if you couldn't see it with your own eyes, you wouldn't believe it happened: That was an extraordinarily rare double knockout at the Legends of Fighting Championship mixed martial arts show in Indianapolis on Friday night. The two fighters, Tyler Bryan and Shaun Parker, both landed punches to each other's heads just a few seconds after the start of the fight, and they both crumpled to the canvas. When that happens the bout is scored a technical draw. It was the first fight for ...

I can't recall ever seeing something like this before. At the Legends of Fighting Championship MMA show on Friday night two fighters decided to throw punches at the exact same time. Enjoy! Are you kidding me? The best part is that MDS at Fanhouse notes that both fighters were in their first bout say they both no have a record of 0-0-1. Amazing. Shocking MMA Double Knockout (Fanhouse)

A couple of first time MMA fighters did something that you don’t see every day as they knocked each other out shortly after the start of their bout. The two now have records of 0-0-1.
So Who Wins?

I love how the dude on the right has both his arms fully extended while he's on the mat. Like he won or something?! He looks like my dog when she's sleeping. Talk about a few badasses. Legends of Fighting, my taint.

Weekend Tube Review: Criticizing LeBron
Published 5/19/2008 at The Sporting Blog
NBA Playoffs: While Friday's action was rather enjoyable, it didn't compare to the Sunday afternoon Game Seven battle between LeBron James and Paul Pierce. ABC's team of Breen, Jackson, and Van Gundy did their best to not make themselves the story and let the action speak for itself as the two stars attempted to each will their team to victory. Mike Breen even had the right level of criticism for James in the end after the star missed two shots and a free throw in the waning moments. It's always hard to find fault in someone who scored 45 points for your team, but as Breen correctly pointed out, "You can't miss free throws at a time like this": ...
Double Knockout from Legends of Fighting
Published 5/19/2008 by Adam Morgan at Five Ounces of Pain
Here is a crazy double KO that happened at the Legends of Fighting event this past Friday night. The combatants are Tyler Bryan and Shaun Parker , both of whom were fighting in their first ever professional fight. Shonie Carter is the referee, and to me, his reaction is the best part of it all.
DOUBLE KNOCKOUT EQUALS DOUBLE BONERS
Published 5/19/2008 at With Leather
Tyler Bryan and Shaun Parker already kind of look alike, so when their fight Friday at the Legends of Fighting Championship ended with simultaneous knockout punches to the head, it immediately drew comparisons (from me) to Xamot and Tomax from G.I. Joe. You can't hurt one without afflicting the other! They throw the same punch but from opposite sides! They have gay haircuts! Quoth Fanhouse: When that happens the bout is scored a technical draw. It was the first fight for both Bryan and Parker, so both of them now have career records of ...

Double KTFO

Friday night at something called the Legends of Fighting Championship (not sure which of these guys is a legend, but I digress...) Tyler Bryan and Shaun Parker (in their first MMA fights ever - legendary!) each lasted only a few seconds before knocking each other out simultaneously. Witness the legends... In other MMA news, Kimbo Slice was a presenter at the Country Music Awards ...

Via MMAmania comes this extremely short fight from something called Legends of Fighting, ending in an embarrassing double knockout.
I really feel like this has to be fake. The guy on the right getting knocked out appears to have gotten knocked out in a way similar to how a Broadway performer would get “knocked out” in a performance of West Side Story. And like how bad do you have to be at your job for this to happen? I’ve always thought that getting hit and not like collapsing in a pathetic fashion was an important part of professional ...

Double Knockouts Are Fun
Published 5/19/2008 by Fornelli (noreply@blogger.com) at Foul Balls
What you just saw was home video shot by me of how Panger and I decide who is going to write about what around here. Sometimes, we both knock each other out, and nothing gets written. This is what is most commonly referred to as "the weekend." I know what you're thinking, and I agree, I'm not a big fan of Panger's new haircut either. If you want to know what the video was really from, you can always go to With Leather ...
Gus Johnson To Call MMA Fight on CBS May 31

CBS Announced today that everyone’s favorite college hoops analyst, Gus Johnson, will be calling the Primetime MMA debut on CBS May 31 (we’ll be live-blogging it; and with any luck, we’ll have someone on scene, too). Can you imagine Gus’s reaction to this weekend’s double-knockout? (Video via Yahoo Sports)
Rocky II

I can’t tell which one is Rocky and which one is Apollo, but the ref has a striking resemblance to Talia Shire (Adrian in Rocky), who, somehow, actually looks worse than when she was on screen, as evidenced here.

In case you haven’t heard or haven’t seen this video before, enjoy it.
This past Friday night Legends of Fighting held an event which saw what is presumed to be the first ever double-knockout in MMA history. Normally if a fight ends in 8-seconds it’s an anomaly all its own, but this is just on a whole other level. Pay attention to guest referee Shonie Carter’s reaction as well.
