Lou Holtz Pep Talk to the New York Knicks
Published 12/1/2007 at FanIQ Blog
If Lou's Pep Talk's have taught us anything this season, we should expect a winning streak to start anytime soon for the New York Knicks. That's OK though, because Lou came strong tonight. Different sport, but the same Holtzisms were present and he added what may be his best one-liner of the year.

Is it sad I can't wait until bowl season for more Lou's Pep Talks?

One of Lou's pep talks finally worked. Not for college football, but rather for the Knicks. Maybe when New York finally gets around to firing Isiah, they'll offer the job to Lou Holtz? He can't do any worse. ...Also in announcing news, Gus Johnson and Kenny Smith were paired up on the MSG broadcast of the game. Rambling, unintelligible, yet somehow very wise. I'd like to dedicate last night's win over Milwaukee to Coach Holtz. Thank you sir. (Question for the comments: Did ESPN provide Holtz with the Stephon Marbury jersey and the basketball, or did he just show up with them? I'm saying he brought his own bag of props with a whistle, a headband, a pair of sports goggles, and some diamond earrings, but the ...

Everyone needs something to keep them occupied on Friday afternoons so the Friday Video Blowout was born. Spend your next few minutes, laughing, crying of laughter, pissing your self, whatever, but mostly wasting your companies time. ...

"In this city you either win or they bury you ... you lead by example, and you hold people accountable."
Wikipedia: Holtz's lone foray into the professional ranks consisted of one season with the New York Jets in 1976. He resigned with one game remaining in the season after going 3-10.
