louismg +1That was an extremely rare play. We were watching as it happened, and the guy just had brain lock. Goes to show teams should stay the heck back on the sidelines and not get so close to the field. Guess he'll have his 15 minutes of fame now.

Bowl Season Doesn't Officially Start Until Something Crazy Happens, Well Something Crazy Happened

Ladies and gentlemen I give you Texas' new favorite son, Chris. Actually Chris is Mack Brown's stepson and boy oh boy are they going to love him if Texas loses this one. Watch carefully as the kid ever so gently tries to recover a fumble in the field of play. What's that? How will you know who he is??? Oh you'll know....he's the one who's not a player..... You don't see it in the clip, but Mack Brown's kid not only cost the Longhorns the ball but also six as ASU scored on the very next play. Bravo Chris.....enjoy your last game ...
Video: Chris Jesse, Mack Brown's Stepson Reaches Out For Fumbled Football in Holiday Bowl

For those watching the game, you've already seen this roughly 100 times. For the rest, Awful Announcing has now delivered the video.
Chris Jesse, Mack Brown's stepson reaches out to corral a fumbled football. The refs rule he touched it (he didn't) and the Sun Devils kept the football and subsequently scored. Fortunately, it appears those 6 points won't matter but there's still time.
If nothing else, this adds another crazy chapter to the never predictable Holiday Bowl. Well, Jamaal Charles running through the Arizona State defense was sort of a given.

I suppose this clip will do

There was an interesting bit of video on ESPN tonight. It involved an ESPN anchor (Steve Berthume?) and Sean Salisbury, with the ESPN anchor/Berthume introducing a Sean Salisbury spar session with: “And now, a man who’s always campaigning for an Emmy ..” Whoa! I don’t know if that was a subtle dig or a misplaced attempt at humor; either way, I’d like to see it again.
But since that’s not readily available, here’s the second best thing I saw last night: Mack Brown’s silly stepson nearly making a career ending gaffe. ...

We have been way too serious on here for the past few weeks. Then again, the subject matter has been pretty serious, so you’ll have to forgive us. Still, every once in awhile, we need to remember why we started this site: for the love of the game. And nothing says “love of the game” quite like a video of ...
Brown Family Dinners Will Be Tense For The Holiday
Published 12/28/2007 at The Sporting Blog
If you thought your holiday dinners were tense, awkward affairs, consider the case of Chris Jesse, Mack Brown's stepson and member of the Texas support staff, who attempted to recover a Rudy Carpenter fumble last night during the Longhorns 52-34 victory over the Arizona State Sun Devils...despite not being a football player. ...
THIS DIDN'T MATTER

Here's Texas coach Mack Brown's retarded stepson trying to blow last night's Holiday Bowl for the Longhorns. The Sun Devils retained possession and scored on the next play, so it's a good thing for Chris Burke here that the Horns won 52-34. To add to your viewing experience, observe the referee's obvious glee in telling the crowd that the call was overturned. I love the schadenfreude. [Awful Announcing -- which also has a longer video]
It's 10am and I'm Already Sick of Mack Brown's Step Son

This Video is So Hot Right Now [HT: Awful Announcing] Hope you had a wonderful christmas. Chris Jesse and ESPN can bite my ass. He didn't even touch the damn ball. Why do we care? It's not like that non-touch changed the outcome of the game. By the way, it was the freaking Holiday Bowl. It was not the Super Bowl or the NLCS. Don't compare this douche-nozzle to Bartman (like The World Wide Leader did). Don't be a prick. Lets move on to more important matters... Oh wait. I forgot. The days between Christmas and the weekend seem to be the sweaty taint of the ...
"Stupid is as Stupid does": A story about Chris Jessie
Published 12/28/2007 by World of Isaac at The World of Isaac
Well, we are all allowed one colossal blunder in our time. For most its a bad one night stand or drinking too much one night. For Chris Jessie, well, his brain fart was caught on National TV. Thankfully, it didnt cost Texas anything or he would probably be deported from the Lone Star State. My buddy worked for MSU football and I swear if he did anything close to this, then Coach Nick Saban wouldve ripped his nuts off. Even if he was his stepson. Mack Brown must be a nice guy.

Chris Jessie, Mack Brown’s stepson, makes his presence known at last night’s Texas-Arizona State game…luckily for him, the Longhorns won 52-34, but he still is responsible for what is undoubtedly the best blooper of 2007 (thanks for the video, Awful Announcing):

Even this bumbling by the Texas sideline, courtesy of Chris Jessie, stepson of Longhorns coach Mack Brown, didn’t even come close to costing Texas the game — they were already up on Arizona State by a couple scores and wound up destroying the Sun Devils (deceptive score, really, ...
