The Bruins are fun to watch again and they really gel as a team, the Fight last night really capped of a great Bruins win against a team the Bruins have had problems with for decades,I think the Coach is the Big reason behind there success,as well as the office people the Bruins have now they all Love the game they all love the Black and Gold and they are believers that this Team can rise and win its first Stanley Cup in 36 plus years,I loved when the Celts Won there Championships when the Sox won theres and when the Pats won,but let me tell you it would be Nasty in the Streets of Boston if the Bruins came through this year and won the Cup,the Hockey fans as well as the Black and Gold deserve it,I think it would top all the otheres in this Century,Go B'S!!!

Michael Komisarek vs Milan Lucic Nov 13, 2008
hockeyfights.com: Fight Videos — Im the furthest thing from a Bruins fan but all I gotta say is Lucic is one of the most underrated fighters in the league. people dont mention his name with laraque, boogaard, etc. but they should. i dont think ive ever seen him take a beaten and he can bang wit the best. He straight up F***ed Komisarek up(not that hes considered the best). He hit him so hard, clean and solid with most of his shots Komisarek just finally went down. I saw the whole game live on tv and they showed Komisarek close up in the box minute afterwards and his whole face had huge red welts all over it!! Another well deserved W for Lucic. Next time I wanna see Lucic/Laraque..definatly worth the ...

Good night: Didn’t you used to be Miikka Kiprusoff?
The Two-Line Pass — If only there were talent in that bottle The Lead Another four goals against on 20 shots in one period of work tonight has me seriously wondering whether Miikka Kiprusoff is really finished. He played the first period before getting the hook with a dreadful lack of anything resembling the goaltender he used to be. Curtis ...

Bruins Handle Habs
KK Hockey — from Stephen Harris of the Boston Herald, Lucic might not have had much to say about the bout, but he certainly reacted on the ice with unbridled emotion - waving his arms in triumph and pounding the glass as the crowd went nuts. “It’s just excitement,” said Lucic, downplaying the display. “When the fans are screaming and they’re pumped up, it gets you more pumped up. That’s just the adrenaline going through me.” more

Bruins cruise to top of standings
From The Rink — It was a pretty wild one in Boston last night, where the Bruins ran the Habs out of the rink with four unanswered goals to start the game. In terms of projected standings, Boston is now the first-place team in the Eastern Conference, which is pretty incredible. They're one of the top-10 scoring teams in the league and allowing only two goals a game defensively, with both Tim Thomas and Manny Fernandez playing excellent. The Bruins were one of the lowest-scoring teams in the NHL to make the playoffs last season, but the big difference this time around has been their depth on ...

THANK YOU, BRUINS
The #1 Source for New England Sports Opinions and Propaganda... — The Bruins' 6-1 pounding of the Canadiens made the Patrtiots' loss a little more bearable. The B's hadn't beaten Montreal in 12 straight regular season meetings. The Bruins arrived in Boston at 3:00 AM Thursday after a hard fought 2-1 shootout win in Chicago. The Bruins didn't have much of an advantage coming into the game. But that didn't matter. The 4th line of Shawn Thornton, Stephan Yelle, and Chuck Kobasew combined for 3 goals and 7 points. Manny Fernandez stopped 27 of 28 shots. Marco Sturm broke out with 2 goals. Patrice Bergeron had an assist and pancaked Saku Koivu in the open ice. Milan Lucic fell an assist shy of a Gordie How hat ...

Puck Headlines: Our Milan Lucic man-crush is at critical mass
Puck Daddy — Here are your Morning Puck Headlines: A glorious collection of news and views collected from the greatest blogosphere in sports and the few, the proud, the mainstream hockey media. • We are unapologetic Milan Lucic marks here at Puck Daddy, bordering on unmitigated fanboy-ism. Last night in the Boston Bruins' huge victory over the Montreal Canadiens ("Hey, at least Boston won something last night." - Jets fan), Lucic scored a goal and had this beatdown of Mike Komisarek. Seriously, if Lucic is the new Cam Neely, then Komisarek played the role of Claude Lemieux here. ...

The Morning Skate: In the Seesaw N.H.L., No Lead Is Safe
Slap Shot — The Penguins jumped out to a 3-0 lead against the visiting Flyers last night but couldn’t hold it. By the end of the second period, Philly had scored four goals — including two shorthanded by Simon Gagne — in a 12-minute span to take a 4-3 lead into the intermission. The game ended tied, 4-4, with Pittsburgh getting the bonus point by winning the post-game skills competition. But the story was yet another team blowing a big lead. The Penguins have become experts in this new seesaw N.H.L. In their previous three games, the Pens rallied from 5-2 down against the Red Wings to win 7-6 in overtime on Tuesday; they were trailing 3-1 to the Isles late in the second last ...

Hockey Fight of the Day: Milan Lucic vs. Mike Komisarek
FanHouse — by Eric McErlain Filed under: Bruins, Canadiens, NHL Fights, NHL Videos There were four fights in the first period last night during the Blues-Blackhawks game in Chicago, but the tilt that everyone is still talking about came on Thursday night when Milan Lucic of the Bruins took on Montreal's Mike Komisarek in Boston. While most of the league hasn't been looking, the Bruins have won eight of their last ten games, suring to the top of the Northeast Division, leaving pre-season favorite Montreal in their wake. Going into Thursday night's ...

Puttin' On the Foil - A Weekly NHL Recap 11/16
Sean Leahy's Going Five Hole — MONOLOGUE The NHL has proven that, if you're a head coach, your job is never safe. It doesn't matter if you had led the team to first place (New Jersey); if it's only four games into the season (Chicago); or if you've only coached 16 games with the team (Tampa Bay). Two of those situations you can attribute to issues with ownerships and the other is Lou Lamoriello just being Lou Lamoriello. Any coach realizes once he loses the players, he'll soon be out of a job. It doesn't matter if you're coaching all stars or nobodies, if a coach can get his players to buy into his system, then eventually they will find success. Barry Melrose was hindered by his lack of ...

Claude Julien, Pacifist Of The Year
Can't Stop The Bleeding — If Patrick Roy can manage to bury the hatchet with the Montreal Canadiens, why can’t the Habs see past mild, meek Milan Lucic having his fists assaulted by Mike Komisarek’s face? The Boston Globe’s Fluto Shinzawa reports Montreal selected Georges Laraque for a fight with Boston’s Lucic that never happened during the Bruins’ 3-2 shootout win. Laraque, itching to shed his gloves and teach the 20-year-old a lesson, was tapped to trail Lucic (above) and goad him into a fight. On their first shift together, Laraque tapped Lucic on the leg with his stick, then got in his ...

Boston, Detroit, and "Adam's Ribs"
Winging It In Motown — There's an episode of M*A*S*H* called "Adam's Ribs," in which Hawkeye is subjected to the same two choices for meals for 10 straight days. On the tenth day, he snaps violently (but comically, of course), and starts leading the entire mess tent in the chant "WE WANT SOMETHING ELSE! WE WANT SOMETHING ELSE!" I mention this because two weeks ago, after lousy weather kept me in "beautiful" Nashua, New Hampshire on a Thursday night, I drove (or, more accurately, raced) down to Boston to catch a Bruins game at TD Banknorth Center. By luck, it was the Habs in town, so the crowd had enough red white and blue in it to keep it honest. But I'm here to tell ...

Hockey Fever: Man Love, Douches and Little Kimmy Bauer…
Boston Sports Posters — by the goat… I know, I know it’s been forever.  Unfortunately the goat had to do some “real life” shit as of late.  Let’s get to it though, Hockey is officially in full swing and what do you know?  Boston is kicking the shit out of everyone (figuratively) and Milan Lucic is kicking the shit out of everyone (literally). “Tonight they have beat them, and they have beat them up!” What a quote. This kid Lucic is 19 years old and he has already kicked the shit out of every notable tough guy in the league, but wait… ...

Boxing Day
Stanley Cup of Chowder — What better way to celebrate Boxing Day then by taking a look back at some of the more memorable fights of the season? Shawn Thornton vs. Georges Laraque (10/15) Gotta give Thornton credit for dropping 'em with Big Georges. BRUINS-CANADIENS PREVIEW
The #1 Source for New England Sports Opinions and Propaganda... — The Bruins haven't played Montreal since November 22nd, when the B's came out on top of a shootout. Unlike last year, the Bruins have held the upper hand against the Canadiens. The B's are 2-0-1 against Montreal, including a 6-1 throttling on November 13th. However, Montreal comes into this game riding a hot streak. They're 9-1-1 in their last 11, including victories over top teams like Washington and the Rangers. The Habs' power play unit has finally started to produced. They've scored on 6 of their last 18 power plays. And the thing Montreal has always been best at is drawing ...

Series Preview: Boston Bruins (1) vs. Montreal Canadiens (8)
Puck Daddy — Our previews of the 2009 Stanley Cup playoffs' opening round, featuring pretty pictures and a special guest video by the great Steve Dangle at the end. In the time since last postseason's seven-game, near-upset, cop-car-igniting slobber-knocker between the Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins, it's safe to say the two franchises have had a Freaky Friday-level switcheroo. The Bruins went from the lowly eight seed to the Eastern Conference's best team, striking an ideal balance between dogged offense and impenetrable defense. The Canadiens went from a team primed for a Cup run in their centennial season ...

Let's Go Bruins! Lucic Crew takes Game One 4-2
SawxBlog — The above fight took place earlier this year against the Canadians, and Lucic won that fight, and the Bruins won the collective fight tonight. Wow, what a game, and what a series this is going to be between these two rivals. The bad blood is peculating at an extreme rate with these two, and the level of ...

MILAN LUCIC IS BACK, HABS WILL NOT BE
With Leather - Sports news and gossip, panda sex, and the occasional Toonces the driving cat Photoshop — I don’t care if Bruins winger Milan Lucic was born in Vancouver or not; his parents are dirty Serbs and so his he. And don’t tell me that I’m some kind of Serbist; I have have lots of Serbian friends. Well, I do until they find out I’m from Kosovo. Anyway, Lucic was back in action last night after serving his one-game suspension and back to his old ways, taking down Mike Komisarek as his Bruins eliminated the Montreal Canadiens from the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Hockeyfights, one of the reasons that the internet is the greatest thing ever, ...

The Draft
Bolts by the Bay | A Tampa Bay Lightning Blog — As we count down the days until the 2009 NHL entry draft, I have been searching the Interwebs far and wide for some sort of Bolts news. I found this little gem here  .. John Tavares might be coming to the Avalanche after all. At least if the Red Line Report is doing the selections for the NHL draft. The well-respected independent scouting service now ranks Tavares as the third-best prospect in the upcoming draft - this, after months of scouts ranking him a consensus No. 1. The Avs own the third pick in the first round, scheduled for June 26 in Montreal. According to RLR’s latest rankings, Swedish defenseman Victor Hedman is the ...

BRUINS SIGN LUCIC :-)
The #1 Source for New England Sports Opinions and Propaganda... — The Bruins didn't wait for Milan Lucic to hit restricted free agency. They signed the 21 year old to a 3 year extension worth $12.25 million. Lucic is now locked into the Bruins roster until the 2012-13 season. This is just exciting news! Lucic is the kind of guy that can flip a playoff series on its head. He's got the hockey skills to score 20 goals, and the toughness to knock out 20 teeth. It's hard not to compare him to Cam Neely.
