The NHL is riding a wave of popularity thanks to a well-hyped, if slightly underwhelming, Stanley Cup finals. Last night's syndicated episode featured a category called "Sports" and the following answer: "In 2000, an expansion team known as the Minnesota Wild joined this professional sports league." Give these Jeopardy contestants a clue about the String Theory s Dual Resonance Model and they d nail it. In their sleep. But bring up the NHL, and, well, all you re gonna hear is crickets: What I love about this -- aside from the fact that the contestants names are Donna, Debbie and Dino is that this was the $2,000 clue, meaning the show deemed it to be the most difficult of the Sports category.
