In advance of Thursday's game, ESPN has put up another edition of their MLS Classics - this time, it's United vs. the Fire. This particular 2005 game saw a bunch of goals and a late winner from former D.C. defender Bobby Boswell (.com). The D.C.-Chicago rivalry has turned into a very strong one in recent years, due mostly to the Fire's ability to oust United from the playoffs (something only one other MLS team has ever done). This season ESPN has been putting together these short packages of "MLS Classics" to wet our appetites for their Thursday night matches. But for reasons unknown to me, they've made them somewhat hard to find outside of that iPod video-sized screen on the Soccernet page. So in the interest of a) letting you see the video without doing permanent damage to your eyes, b) hyping this weeks Chicago-DC match and c) reliving their insane 4-3 match from 2005 I'm posting it here. Watch and enjoy, unless you are a Bobby Boswell hater (you know who you are).
