John Clay's Sidelines —
Links the day after UK's 27-2 win over Louisville:
You can find video of Rich Brooks' post-game press conference by clicking here.
Randy Beard of the Henderson Gleaner asks, "Offense, what offense?"
Comment to the Card Chronicle open game thread states, "If you still support Coach Kragthorpe, you are a UK fan."

The Beauty of 310 Pounds Running
Intentional Foul —
OK, this is my last self-serving post about Kentucky/Louisville, but it’s a good one. What we have is the highlight real of Myron Pryor recovering a fumble an returning it 72-yards for a touchdown in his best Usain-Bolt-at-310-pounds impression. I wouldn’t be surprised if Pryor’s return registered on a nearby Richter scale.
It was nice of the Louisville Cardinals skill players to care enough about the game to chase Pryor down. Not one wide receiver, running back or other skill position player — save fullback Brock Bolen — comes into the screen during ...
310 POUNDS OF GLORY
EDSBS —
Since today is our belated, five-day review day, we’ll save you the trouble of having to watch the mostly wretched UK/Louisville game and present the necessary bullet points for you:
–Louisville qb Hunter Cantwell’s four-series streak in the fourth quarter when Louisville had scored zero points and need something to get back into a 10-0 game: pick/pick/fumble for TD/pick.
–Kentucky scored 17 points in the fourth through very little real offense of their own.
–Kentucky qb Mike Hartline’s leading receiver was the second row of the stands.
–Louisville scored its only points of a 27-2 blowout ...
'Oh, the Big'un!'
RealClearSports - Blog —
There is something strangely entertaining about watching large men run with a football. A receiver or running back scoring a 72-yard touchdown is impressive, sure, but everything looks smooth and easy. Seeing 310-pound Kentucky defensive tackle Myron Pryor will his body that same distance, with his feet seemingly never coming more than a foot off the ground, is oddly hypnotizing. ...
Avoiding Shreveport
Friends of the Program —
Microsoft Paint son! This is as fancy as we get until our new computer shows up.
There are very few things more disheartening among SEC fans than the prospects of spending the bowl season at the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana . But a mediocre season and an 8th place finish in the toughest conference in the land ...
Approaching The Draft: Defensive Tackles
Vikings Gab —
CURRENT STATUS: The middle of the Vikings defensive line features two of the best in the business in Kevin and Pat Williams. Backing them up are Fred Evans, LeTroy Guion, and Jimmy Kennedy. The only worries about the WilliamsWall are that they are both waiting to hear if the NFL will be allowed to suspend them for four weeks each regarding last year’s StarCaps issue. There is also the fact that Pat Williams will turn 37 this season.
Evans has proven to be an adequate backup, and was retained as a restricted free agent because of his youth and potential. Guion was a rookie last year, and saw very little playing time, but ...
PATRIOTS DRAFT RECAP
The #1 Source for New England Sports Opinions and Propaganda... —
The Patriots didn't do what the "experts" thought they would. Surprise. Surprise. I remember when the ESPN guys were convinced the Pats would take Pat White out of West Virginia. Yeah, right, sure. They forget that Bill Belichick preferred solid pocket passer Damon Huard to inconsistent yet explosive Rohan Davey. ...
Things We Love: Fat Guy Touchdowns
Dr. Saturday —
An offseason compendium of college football's small pleasures.
The Fat Guy Touchdown is hands-down our favorite play, and one of the purer joys in college football. Watching a 350-pound lineman scoop up a football and run for a score makes us clap with glee like a small child presented with a shiny object, no matter the color of the player's jersey. There are so many pleasures on so many levels: The play is always completely unexpected by at least one team, the bruiser holding the ball has a markedly higher tendency to knock heads as he trundles down the sideline, and most of all, there's the look of sheer, exhausted glee on the kid's face as ...

Big Blue Booyah —
... in 2008, following a dominant performance against rival Louisville, Kentucky defensive tackle Myron Pryor was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week. Pryor, a Louisville native, played a role in two defensive touchdowns. He forced a fumble in the second quarter that Ashton Cobb picked up and ran 28 yards for a touchdown. The second came ...
Man Mountain’s TD Rumble from 2008
Kentucky Sports Radio —
Now-Patriot Myron Pryor's 72-yard scoop and score from last year's drubbing of the filthy Cards. Ah, it never gets old. Beating the poo out of Louisville, that is. The video's good too, though.

Best of the Aughts: Revisiting the decade's most miraculous plays
Dr. Saturday —
Once again we're gobsmacked by the routine passage of time: Ten years has passed like that, and to commemorate the artificially grouped events therein, the Doc Sat team is counting down the best of 2000-09. Today's category: Best play. ...
