The SEC has reviewed Georgia Linebacker Nick Wiliam’s late hit on Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post reports via Twitter. A Florida spokesmen however says they cannot comment on the matter.

Urban Meyer: Late hit on Tebow should have been a penalty

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Florida coach Urban Meyer says that a late-hit on quarterback Tim Tebow by Georgia linebacker Nick Williams should have been penalized by referees in last Saturday’s game.
“That should have been a penalty, in my opinion. You’ve got to protect quarterbacks. That’s the whole purpose. It’s right in front of the referee,” Meyer said.
Meyer’s comments come after the SEC said last that any coach which criticizes a referee would be suspended and fined.
