When it comes to the beautiful game, Nike’s marketing department has never failed to impress us; this time they have really pushed the boundaries of creativity, adapting a unique first-person view.
From their “How badly do you want to be a fooballer” campaign and featuring international superstars such as Arsene Wenger, William Gallas, Cesc Fabregas, Marco Materazzi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Ruud van Nistelrooy (among others), their ...

One more post for today before I leave my mom's basement. We forgot to post the full version of Nike's "The Next Level" commercial featuring more Nike-sponsored footballers than you can shake a stick at. I guess Guy Ritchie had to find something to do while his wife fights the Malawian authorities, freaks Justin Timberlake and pretends to kiss underage girls. ...
The Last Gasp: Coppa and other news
F.C. Internazionale Milano —
The Last Gasp: Coppa and other news By: Johonna | May 21st, 2008 I suppose we should stop swanning around with our heads in the clouds and get back down to business. The team is back in training for this Saturday’s match at the Olimpico in Rome against Roma. back to training While Inter have not posted any news about the upcoming squad, we know neither Cruz nor Materazzi will be there . They are both out due to suspension. I suspect Mancini will call up some of our Primavera players, Toldo, and Suazo. At least that is what the training photos show. We will know more later in the week. It is clear that Roma are going to throw every little ...

Welcome to the third installment of the Hotdog & Friends European Cup Preview. And don’t forget to sign up for the Fantasy League ! Team Profiles: France: Surrender? Clearly this is not an option for the French. Bravely hobbling into the post-Zidane era, France trots out a surprisingly talented team. Lesbian Cheerleader Scandal Melissa Theriau reports on the … well, you can read the caption. While the old guard of Thierry Henry (31), Claude Makelele (35), Patrick Vieira (31), and Lilian Thuram (36) still plugging away, Les Bleus have managed to supplement that core with a handful of stud youngsters. On paper, France looks ...
Fideo Sunday: Late Edition
Hotdog & Friends —
So I forgot to put up a video on Friday. I’m sorry, okay? It’s not like I meant to hurt you, I just forgot baby. I’ve had a lot of things on my mind lately. C’mon, let’s go out to our favorite restaurant and I will soothe your disappointment in me with some sweet talking and a bottle of Merlot. I know they don’t have wine at Arby’s, but I’ve got that covered too. I know I messed up girl, that’s why I’m willing to bend the rules for you. Now clean the tears off your face so we can go get 4 roast beefs for $5. Now, that’s out of the way - I’ve seen this commercial a couple times during Euro 2008 and thought it was pretty cool. The full version on Youtube though ...
Who Was That Guy?
TheOriginalWinger.com —
I know, I know, I’ve put this video up like three or four times already as it’s the freshest soccer commercial done to date, but trust me, this time it’s for the right reason.
Ever wonder who’s arms, feet, vomit and falling out teeth those are? I know I did.
I’ve been playing with him for about four months and I had no idea, but I know now and next week I’m going to have a sit down interview with him. The details that went into that commercial were incredible.
Stay tuned!
Nike's Olympic Courage Ad
AwfulAnnouncing —
Obviously with the mass amount of ads that Nike produces not all are going to be winners but I think they've got another hit with this one. This is the "Courage" ad you'll be seeing all throughout the Olympics.... I'm a sucker for good music, a ton of athletes and random flowers blooming, so they had me at the jump. I'm curious if this type of ad is wearing on people or if you're enjoying them as much as me. In the past year we've had the "My Better" one, the Jackson/Merriman "Leave Nothing" one, and the Guy Ritchie "Next Level" one. Keep it coming Nike.
When Football Ads Were Football Ads
The Offside —
When Football Ads Were Football Ads By: chris | November 28th, 2008 As Daryl mentioned , the age of the internet has enabled everything to be a little shorter, quicker and to the point. Unfortunately, many football ads have done more of the same. But remember when they were good? Like, really good? And it was a simple theory too: big shoe company gets tons of stars together, pays obscene amounts of money to have them do incredibly cool shit. Eight of the best, from when football ads were football ads: Brazil Airport (Nike) The Mission (Nike) Jose +10 (Adidas) Road to Lisbon (Adidas) Nike Freestyle And perhaps the greatest football advert of ...

Completely Awesome Nike Ad Spoof
The Offside —
Completely Awesome Nike Ad Spoof By: Laurie | July 22nd, 2009 Remember Nike’s Guy Ritchie ad from last year (shown below), where the Dutch guy gets scouted and picked up by Arsenal, and all of a sudden he’s rubbing shoulders with guys like Gallas and Zlatan? Not to mention driving expensive cars and juggling gorgeous women? This one’s better. From the FA’s ad agency: The FA are just kicking off a campaign to get people back into 11 a side football, as sadly the amount of teams registering each year is in decline. The film we’ve created went live this week after a sneak peak showing at the England vs Andorra mach at Wembley a few weeks ago. ...
FA Spoofs Nike Guy Ritchie Soccer Ad, And It’s Actually Better
MOUTHPIECE Blog // A Chicago-Addled Sports Blog —
OK, so maybe it’s not actually better. But it’s certainly pretty darn good. You may remember this creative, Guy Ritchie-directed advertisement from Nike, in which we get a first-person view of what it’s like to be scooped up by Arsenal and have every love us, dubbed “Take It To The Next Level”:
And here’s the new ad from the FA — the Football Association, if you’re scoring at home — which is even exactly the same length as the Nike spot:
I think Nike could have saved a ...
