And I thought I was pretty pumped for Colon's first game in a Red Sox uniform. Check the home plate ump's flirtation with interpretive dance on this third strike call in the first inning. Red Sox 6 Royals 2 BL Hero: Ellsbury and Pedroia combine to go 6 for 9 with a walk at the top of the order. Ellsbury also scored 3 runs, stole his 19th base and hit a leadoff home run. Bartolo “El Gordo” Colon looked good in his return to the majors last night, throwing 74 pitches, 46 for strikes and fanning 4 batters over 5 solid innings.
