The Roundup: Championship Morning Edition

Wild Things after a wild night? Painfully lame, we know, but the Kansas game was incredible, and every male we know is certain of when and where he saw Wild Things for the first time. Denise Richards was the star, and of the many must-watch scenes, here are three to start your morning - Denise exiting the pool at swim practice, fighting with Neve Campbell, and washing a car. Nope, we can’t link to “that scene” … tracking the Olympic Flame in San Francisco should be fun … One Shining Moment, which was nice, but didn’t quite matchup our favorite of all-time, ...
2008 One Shining Moment: Great Game Caps A Great Tournament
Published 4/8/2008 at FanIQ Blog
I'd say we're off to a pretty solid start in 2008 as far as championship games are concerned.
One of the best Super Bowls ever, complete with perhaps the most clutch play ever, has been followed by last night's NCAA Title game that you could describe in the same light.
Does that mean we should watch the women's title game tonight? Candace vs Candice is the new Larry vs Magic, don't you know.
It's never fun to watch a team choke away a game (unless they're coached by John Calipari), but do love the dramatic comeback. Memphis did their part, but it's more ...

So Long, NCAA Tournament

A great final game capping off a great tournament. Epic underdog performances by Davidson and San Diego highlighted the tournament, and Lionel Chalmers from Kansas added the cherry on top with his game tying shot Monday night. Congrats to the Jayhawks, and here is the 2008 version of Luther Vandross' "One Shining Moment," a tournament tradition (some people think this is cheesy but so what, just be a sucker for it for 3 and half minutes): ...

ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK

Congrats to Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks for winning the NCAA Championship game last night. And what a game it was! In the words of Dicky V, "An Instant Classic Baby!" The game had it all with great plays, multiple lead changes, missed free throws by Memphis to blow a huge lead, a huge shot that sent the game into overtime, and domination in overtime by Kansas that led to victory. Both teams battled their hearts out, and like Bill Self said, if these two teams played 10 times, the outcome would probably end up 5-5. Thanks to both teams for putting on a great show, and to our favorite player in ...

The National Champions have been crowned as Kansas won the men’s in dramatic fashion while Tennessee had no problems disposing of Stanford for the women’s.
One of the greatest things about CBS Sports, is the “One Shining Moment” montage they have up to close out the broadcast. Here’s this year’s montage. ...
