Jones covered NFL games ... as well as American Football League games ... for 38 seasons. He started doing AFL games on ABC back in 1960, then moving to NBC to due both AFL and NFL games in 1965. He would continue to do so until 1997 when NBC lost its NFL coverage to CBS. He also did Olympics coverage for NBC in 1988, 1992 and 1996, as well as golf and tennis coverage.
