Pat Burrell Makes The Rockies Pay
Published 4/23/2008 by Michael Milici at Bugs & Cranks
With 1 out in the top of the 9th inning and barely clinging onto a 6-5 lead, Rockies manager Clint Hurdle decided to walk Ryan Howard (and his .190 BA and ML leading 30 K’s) to load the bases and pray for a double play ball from Pat Burrell. WRONG MOVE. Burrell, owner of a .563 average with runners in scoring position (MLB Rank = 1), lofted a ball high into the gap in left-center field. I'm not even sure if Zito ...

Myers gave up 6 runs in 7 innings and left the game with the Phillies trailing 6-4. The offense then pulled out the win, with Pat Burrell being the hero following a bases loaded double in the top of the 9th inning that put the Phillies ahead for good.

Female Streaker!

Last night’s Phils/Rox baseball action was temporarily delayed in the bottom of the 7th when a scantily clad (female!) baseball fan decided to prance around the field wearing only jeans and a bra. Of course, neither the Philadelphia nor Denver TV feed showed her running around the field (I checked) but I did find a photo
