It wouldn't be a dunk contest if the individual with the best dunk didn't win. The College competition that took place last night in San Antonio was no different.
Arkansas' Sonny Weems won with this dunk above, although his free throw (just a hair inside) a la Michael Jorrdan/Julius Irving was impressive.
Weems fortunately defeated the hometown fraud, Will Bullard of Texas A&M Corpus Christi. He had one dunk, and that was to jump over a buddy standing just in front of the rim. But there was one little catch the judges failed to acknowledge -- he continuously used his right to push ...

And after Patrick’s behind-the-back dunk from last night’s college skills competition thingie, I can’t say I blame him. Make sure you wait until the end to see Emmitt’s reaction.
Like Jimmy Dykes — he of the hot wife — says, that’s a 50. Don’t even bother going to the scorecards. What Ewing delivers is nasty enough, his father should be jealous — although, Patrick Ewing, Sr did have some vicious monster dunks of his own.

Patrick Ewing was elected into the National Basketball Hall of Fame today. He was elected along with Hakeem Olajuwon, Pat Riley, Adrian Dantley, Cathy Rush(who?), and William Davidson. I was a little concerned leading up to this because he never won a title so some people forget how GREAT Patrick Ewing really was (even if he played a guy named Michael every year and Starks was fouled at the end of game 6!!!!). Thankfully the voters aren’t as stupid as everyone who thinks Ewing isn’t a Hall of Famer. Congratulations to THE WARRIOR #33 Patrick Ewing the best Knick of all time and my personal favorite player in any sport.
