Cleveland's Kicker Phil Dawson Is A Magician
Published 11/18/2007 by Awful Announcing- at Awful Announcing
In all my years on this Earth I have never seen anything like this kick from Phil Dawson. Matt Stover had kicked a FG with 20 seconds left in the game completing the Ravens amazing comeback, and then...I don't have words...just watch.... ...

Once again we have to give thanks the indispensable Awful Announcing. Here is video evidence of Phil Dawson's witchcraft.
I'd burn him at the stake, but I might need him in the fantasy playoffs.

Thanks to Brian Billick, Phil Dawson Gets to Bank This Kick Into Overtime
Published 11/18/2007 at FanIQ Blog
Brian Billick displayed his superior coaching skills today. Why would you ever kick to Joshua Cribbs with a late lead? There's no appropriate explanation for Billick, other than it was a mistake and he's to blame. As if the return against Pittsburgh wasn't reason enough, today's late game mistake should seal the deal.
Cribbs lengthy runback set up a possible game-tying FG from Phil Dawson. The result was far from routine. Click clack. Naturally, the Browns went on to win in overtime. Thanks to Brian Billick and thanks to AA for the video.

Weekend Wrap Up

-Who wants to be #2? Not Oklahoma. In the 11th occurrence this season, a top 10 team has lost to an unranked team. Sooners' QB Sam Bradford left the game with a concussion, and did not return. What a wussy. I had a hangnail Friday night and still pwned a ton of n00bz in Halo. In the 34-27 loss to Texas Tech, Oklahoma lost the chance to move into the BCS National Championship game if they won out/ -Thursday night, I came home to find dad on the couch watching as Oregon was losing in the second quarter to Arizona. He then muttered the worst words any gambler could ever hear... "That's Ryan Leaf's brother at quarterback." ...
Phil Dawson and the Browns

Ray Lewis is so mad he could kill someone. Really. Amazingly, what happened at the end of the Browns game felt like some fan retribution. We are always that city who gets screwed by something like that. Finally, we got to be on the receiving end of the luck and it came against the Browns most hated opponent. Seriously, what the ...

I'm the King of the World! Wow. That's all I can say. By now, you have seen the end of the Browns/Ravens game from Sunday afternoon. Phil Dawson said it best when being interviewed, responding to a question with, "The Browns haven't had a call like this go their way in nine years." What is good for the state of the NFL is that the officials got the call correct, "reviewable" or not. Big thanks to Awful Announcing ...
The morning after, 11.19.07: NFL scoreboard
Published 11/19/2007 by info at The Buried Lead
The morning after Terrell Owens goes wild in the Dallas win over rival Washington… Cardinals 35, Bengals 27 — It was the Antrel Rolle show as Arizona’s cornerback snagged three touchdowns — two for touchdown returns of 55 and 54 yards — to help lead the visiting Cardinals to the spiraling Bengals, 35-27. Chiefs 10, Colts 13 — The Chiefs, with second-year quarterback Brady Croyle at the helm, stayed even with the Colts for most of the game but fell just short, thanks to a field goal by Adam Vinatieri with four seconds left on the game clock and came up short 13-10 at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis. Chargers 17, Jaguars 24 — David Garrard, ...
