Harry Kalas Delivers The Call On Philadelphia Phillies Final World Series Out, Chris Wheeler Goes Nuts
FanIQ Blog — There's the saying that a picture is worth a thousand words, but I'd argue the sound of Harry Kalas calling the final out is worth even more. Of course, when you throw in the picture of Chris Wheeler going nuts in the background, that probably is worth a thousand words. Seeing as how the two have had some issues, this video provides for an interesting juxtaposition. Enjoy this one Phillies fans. I have no idea what it feels like, but I must admit, I get chills every I hear this classic call. Congrats!

crashburnalley.com — Can You Believe It? A Championship in Philly! October 30th, 2008 Posted in Philadelphia Phillies , MLB The storylines that surrounded the 2008 Philadelphia Phillies going into and advancing further in the playoffs were numerous and unique. When you look back and realize that the biggest offender was Jimmy Rollins for getting ...

Harry Kalas Video - World Series Phillies Call
Knuckle Curve — Harry Kalas, the legendary voice of the Philadelphia Phillies, had a fantasy call as the Phillies took home the 2008 World Series. You can hear the Harry Kalas call on the video at the end of the entry. What’s also noteworthy and quite comical is the celebration going on in the booth as Kalas proclaims the Phillies the world champions of baseball after Brad Lidge struck out the final batter for the Tampa Bay Rays. Kalas began broadcasting in 1961 when he was a minor league broadcasting. He moved on to the Houston Astros in 1965 and then to the Phillies in 1971. Here is the Harry Kalas video and his radio call as the Phillies won the ...
