Go Nuts Philadelphia, Your Phillies Are 2008 World Series Champs
AwfulAnnouncing —
It was definitely an odd way to win it, but even in a three and a half inning romp, it's still a win. Here are the highlights from Philly's 4-3 win over the Rays to take the World Series, four games to one.... Just a great team and one that was built mostly with homegrown talent. Be careful out there tonight you Philadelphians and don't do anything I wouldn't do (that should cover just about everything).

Just in Case You Missed The Worst Call in the History of World Series Winning Moments....
Fire Jay Mariotti —
Here it is: Buck's nonentity of a call begins at around 3:30. Who'd have thought a team winning their first World Series in the past 28 years would have been as exciting as a double to left in the first inning of a midseason Padres-Marlins game. Oh well. At least Buck didn't berate the Phillies players for their "despicable" celebrations. (watch this soon before MLB takes it down)
You'll Always Remember Your First Time, Part 28
The House That Glanville Built —
They say you never forget your first time. And with October upon us, the vivid memories of my first time witnessing a professional Philadelphia franchise win a championship are ripe in my head. Even with football underway, I find myself wandering back to that glorious month of October, 2008. It's something I want to relive again and again. In fact, that's exactly what I'm going to do, republishing my feelings during the wild ride to becoming 2008 World Fucking Champions ...
