Ryne Nelson Don't know if the Spurs would have needed this "motivation" anyway...it's the Pacers after all.
Anyone interested in the "Los Spurs" jerseys? I looked into it a bit, and apparently the Spurs are giving away Manu's jersey from tonight's game....

Behind the boxscore, where Chicago playing defense happens
Ball Don't Lie —
Chicago 107, Cleveland 96 As bad as Chicago's been offensively this season, and they've been pretty lousy, it's the team's defense that has fallen farther in comparison to last year's 49-win team, which goes a long way toward explaining why the Bulls have to work so hard to get easy buckets. The Bulls have dropped to 26th in the NBA in offensive efficiency, down six spots from last season; but the drop from 1st in defensive efficiency in 2006-07 to 8th this season is why the team might miss the playoffs for the first time since 2004. (Actually, it's the rotation choices ...
Harrison and Popovich: Two Emotional Individuals
SLAM Online —
by Marcel Mutoni
Gregg Popovich and David Harrison were both kicked out of last night’s Pacers/Spurs game in San Antonio. While Pop’s ejection seemed like a thinly veiled (and well-timed) attempt to fire up his lackadaisical team, something tells me Harrison’s actions didn’t follow any sort of logic. Dude just lost it.
Emotional center David Harrison was hit with a technical foul late in the fourth quarter and suffered a meltdown inside the locker room after the game, according to several Pacers players.
“I subbed for him and somebody on the bench made a decision ...
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich goes crazy, gets tossed
Ball Don't Lie —
KD linked to this bad boy in Behind the Boxscore this morning, but it's worth a second look. Keep an eye on Spurs coach Gregg Popovich at the top of the screen. He loses his Shiraz immediately. Couple this with Pop's Tuesday night outburst about the Spurs lack of focus, attention to detail and execution -- following their 10th freakin' win in a row! -- and it's easy to see why the Spurs are as successful as they are. Pop's ready for the playoffs and he's firing up the troops.
NBA Wrap: Texas teams keep winning just won’t lose… except the Mavs
Hail Mary Jane —
Rockets 113 - Mavericks 98
So it’s pretty nice living in Houston right now. Theres a big buzz about the Rockets even though they are without Yao, no one is worried. The Rockets are ballin right now.
Last night the Rockets went into Dallas and put a beatin on the Mavs (which is always a good thing), 113-98. The play that pretty much sealed the deal for the Rockets was an alley oop from Rafer Alston to Tracy Mcgrady in the fourth quarter. Afterwards, T-mac looked over at the Mavs bench and just smiled.
Spurs 108 - Pacers 97
The Spurs are another Texas team that has just been ...
Spurs Coach and Pacers Player Go Crazy
FanHouse —
Filed under: Pacers, Spurs, NBA Videos, NBA Last NightThat was a crazy game last night in San Antonio, wasn't it? I'm not talking about the outcome, as the Spurs predictably won their 11th straight over the Pacers. I'm talking about how high the emotions were running for both teams in a game between the West's best and the East's fifth worst.
It started with Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, who was clearly still agitated that his team isn't giving maximum effort as we close in on the end of the regular season. This time he didn't wait until after the game to start screaming, he let loose in the ...
