The Offside Rules — By now some of you may be have me pegged for a closet Timbers fan. And I totally am (until 2011). But even if you couldn't give a rat's a** about USL1 you have to love a town selling out a US Open Cup match --there where even SCALPERS about-- in a stadium that is not the local high school ground. WVHooligan - Soccer Blog — Last night’s US Open Cup match between the Seattle Sounders FC and the Portland Timbers was pretty sweet. Not only did this rivalry get some good love across the land but it produced a quality game with some even more entertaining fans in the stands at PGE Park. Makes me want to fast forward a bit to 2011 to see this rivalry in Major League Soccer.
