Mulletsuzaka
Published 2/11/2008 by Jere at A Red Sox Fan From Pinstripe Territory
Amalie told us earlier today about Dice-K's mullethawk, and now Noah Pransky's got video of it. I'm trying to figure out what he's going for. It almost looks like he's got a swath of lighter hair from front to back yet also slightly from one side to the other. You know my policy. Anything Steinbrenner doesn't allow is the best thing in the world.

I have a feeling that in Japan, Dice-K looks like a rock star. In America, he looks like a Wal-Mart ...

It's pretty much a year to the day that I aggravated a bevy of bloggers (OK, make that about two) by insinuating that Daisuke Matusuzaka may have come to camp in 2007 carrying a bit of pudge . It didn't go over well with everyone. I respect that. Still, with Matsuzaka already reporting to camp in 2008, a question has been nagging at me all day: Where did Dice-K get the inspiration for his new mullet, which we can see clear as day in the following video? Oh, that's definitely a mullet. A pretty one, I suppose, with copper streaks and a feathered top, but a mullet nonetheless. Of course, because I didn't jump on this immediately this ...
