Lost Treasure Found: Monk, Clark & Green’s 1991 Pizza Hut Commercial
Published 2/18/2008 by Jamie Mottram at Mr. Irrelevant
This is a special piece of vintage, local advertising from my favorite time as a Redskins fan starring three of my all-time favorite Redskins. Art Monk is reliable as usual, Darrell Green is affable as ever and Gary Clark steals the show. But where the hell was Ricky Sanders? (Traffic-cone shots of Crown Royal to The Mayor of FedEx Field for the tip.) Previously on Lost Treasure Found: Jacoby and May for Theater Vision

Hall of Fame Redskins Art Monk, Darrell Green Starred in Pizza Hut Commercial

There are just so many stupid things about that commercial. The idea that three NFL players are actually going to get into a fight over the best way to get a pizza. The idea that eating a pizza in the store is something that an "old man" would do, while hip ...

Did you know? A "Packer" is an axe wielding maniac. A "Brown" is a goblin.

Don't say I never taught you anything. While Mr. Irrelevant no doubt owns the vintage commercial market, also found at The Bog and Fanhouse, my wayback machine works even better. First enjoy the Oscar worthy acting performance of Art Monk, Gary Clark, and Darrell Green (is he in the locker or isn't he? I'm riveted!) There is nothing preempting another meeting of minds such as the one above in the 21st century. Gary Clark, D. Green, and The Monk are all alive and well and should they awake tomorrow with the urge to shill for Pizza Hut, you'd be talking yourself into a delicious anchove pizza ...
