There are different levels of frustration when a referee or linesman accidently gets involved in a play. The puck hitting him on a shorthanded clearing attempt? Sucks. Having him inadvertently set a pick on a player, affecting an odd-man rush? Really sucks. When he accidently falls backwards onto a youth hockey player's leg after a faceoff? Yikes.
