Lakers Victory Beyond Payback
LABallTalk.com — During the pregame player introductions, Rocky, the Denver Nuggets mascot, made an attempt at “trash talking” (in a silent manner) the Los Angeles Lakers. As Derek Fisher was the first player to be introduced, Rocky, pulled up a chair in front of the Lakers bench, whipped out a newspaper, and pretended to read the classified section as if the Lakers weren’t of interest. After Fisher was introduced, he approached Rocky and pet him in the head, he didn’t seem too happy about this and continued to read his paper. The rest of the team was introduced and as a retaliation move, the Lakers gathered around the mascot and did their “pregame celebratory dance” to get pumped up. ...

The Post Up: Playoffs Edition
SLAM Online — You’ve got me for another night while Lang holds it down in ATL with the messed up shot clocks and the crazy Hawks. He’ll be posting game notes, while I’ve got this spot for you all to get your discussion on. After a late lunch with some of my family I came home to settle in for the day/night. I am the laziest person alive during these playoff weekends and it is the most amazing thing in the world until I actually stop and think about how inactive I am over these 48 hours. Doesn’t get any better. First game of the day was Toronto and Orlando and when I tuned in, Toronto was up and looking good. I definitely jumped the gun when I emailed a friend who ...

Lakers Dance Circles Around the Nuggets and Their MascotFanHouse
The Lakers apparently heard the crazed ramblings of Rocky (the Nuggets' mascot) before the series started, and they were not amused. This was ...

Lakers/Nuggets Game 3 ChatForum Blue And Gold
As we enter game three, I think the cliché fallbacks about effort and focus are appropriate here — the Lakers know how to beat the Nuggets, now they just need to do it in a more hostile environment against what will be a motivated Nuggets team.
