The way they blatantly edited the video up doesn't help either. Maybe they only chopped the video up to make it short and sweet, but it does make his apology seem even more fake.

first off, most people think he's guilty. I'm not sure what Mitchell would have to gain by fingering someone innocent, and the story has been corroborated by Canseco's ghost writer. And he was an awesome pitcher in his 40's, which is suspicious in retrospect. If he did do it, he needs to get off his high horse.

If he actually didn't do it, don't respond with a lawyer's statement or a heavily-edited video...just go on Oprah like everyone else.

A Clemens Sighting on You Tube...
Published 12/23/2007 by David Bloom <info@draysbay.com> at DRaysBay: Front Page Posts
Video I started paying attention to Clemens in the year of 1986. In that time, we did not have the array of resources and online news outlets the way we do today. In that day, you first start hearing about people based on their performance on the field. I say you take Clemens career up until the point his career ended with Boston and he is a Hall of Famer.   I was floored by what he was able to do in Toronto,  Yankees, and even Astros. But, we have heard the rumors of steroids in the past on Clemens. I honestly did not believe them. But, one thing is fishy. Its this practice of where he comes out of retirement and starts the ...

ROGER CLEMENS FINALLY SPEAKS ON THE MITCHELL REPORT
Published 12/23/2007 by HG at YOU BEEN BLINDED
Ok, so Roger’s denying everything.. Of course he is.. I like how he and his team are hiding behind the mistake made by the Los Angeles Times. You may remember the L.A. The informant for the Times had good information, he was only wrong about the source of the info. Roger Clemens Takes to the Net to Battle Steroid Accusations
Published 12/23/2007 by Pat Lackey at FanHouse
Filed under: New York, Yankees, AL East, MLB Video, PEDs After a week of virtual silence after the release of the Mitchell Report, Roger Clemens has been all over the the place denying the accusations in the report. He's now taking the Barry Bonds route, skipping the media and releasing things directly on to the internet. Like lots of people, I've poked my share of fun at Clemens since the release of the Mitchell Report. Despite all that, I'll certainly admit there are some problems with the way the Report was compiled and the evidence against Clemens ...

The answer is no, I did not use steroids, human growth hormone, and I’ve never done so. I did not provide Brian McNamee with any drugs to inject into my body. From YouTube: He says towards the end that he'll appear on 60 Minutes with Mike Wallace to answer more questions on the subject. Clemens believes he's truly innocent, and now he's finally starting to speak for himself. I hope the allegations against him are untrue. He was such a great pitcher and it would be a shame to see all of his accomplishments tarnished.

Well, after a ten day period where most guys on the Mitchell report had come forward and confessed their role in steroid distribution and use, Roger Clemens finally has something to say.  It’s about time, Rocket.  If you’re so “innocent” and “never used steroids” then why the hell did it take you ten days to come out and say something to the media.  And why is this a recorded message?  Where’s the press conference, Rocket?  Why aren’t you running around to every major media station in the country demanding your name to be cleared?  Why are you issuing statements through your attorney instead?  Most ...

MLB Rumors: Johan Santana, Erik Bedard, & Roger Clemens' YouTube Denial
Published 12/24/2007 at FakeTeams
Dave Ortiz doesn't think his good friend Johan Santana will be joining him in Boston.  He and Johan are reported to be very good friends.  If there was somethign occuring, it is not out of the realm of possibility that Santana would drop some hints to Ortiz. However, Charlie Waters writes a Johan Santana trade is imminent.  Are these two sentences connected?  Can Yankees fans react with Christmas joy or is Mr. Waters' definition of "imminent" the question? I find it just as plausible that Mr. Waters use of the word "imminent" needs to be defined.  Santa Claus' arrival is imminent.  The New Year is imminent. ...

Roger Clemens Discovers YouTube [Roger Clemens]
Published 12/24/2007 by Leitch at Deadspin
In case you haven't seen the Roger Clemens steroids denial video, here it is. It's pretty entertaining. Our immediate observations, mostly of a hopefully amusing nature: • He has a few weird facial ticks, and stumbles a lot, which is odd, considering the video is edited and could have been re-filmed. • Thankfully, he doesn't have the streaks in his hair anymore. • He's appropriately forceful and unequivocal, we think, and it's worth pointing out, like he does, that the Los Angeles Times story from last year about his appearance in the Jason ...

Clemens Challenges Findings of Internet Loudmouth (and others)
Published 12/27/2007 by Ben Schwartz at Can't Stop The Bleeding
Roger Clemens today, via You Tube, finally answered my unfounded charges (and those of the Michelin Report) that he used steroids. I’m more than a little miffed that, rather than face me and my questioning, Clemens has chosen to sit down with CBS’s Mike Wallace for a 60 MINUTES interview. It’s pure spite on The Rocket’s part, considering how long I’ve been investigating him and the endless hours I’ve spent on Google over this issue. Wallace, who no doubt got the interview because his son Chris Wallace is a big name at FOX News, has not reported a sports story since Abner Doubleday retired. No information yet on ...

Roger Clemens Thinks You're An Idiot
Published 1/4/2008 by Fornelli at Foul Balls
Ever since Roger Clemens' name was mentioned in the Mitchell Report, he's gone out of his way to say that everything his former trainer, Brian McNamee, said about him is a lie. He even went and put a video up on YouTube to deny the allegations. See? Of course, I never believed any of it. I've been saying for years that Clemens was on steroids because there's just no way a pitcher can actually get better once he hits his 40's. It's not possible. If it were, it wouldn't have taken over 100 years of baseball for it to happen. As I'm sure you're aware, Roger did an interview with his good buddy, and Yankees fan, Mike Wallace that will air this Sunday on 60 ...

You know how we still talk about the day that Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa and Rafael Palmeiro were summoned to testify in front of Congress? The day was March 17, 2005 to be exact. Big Mac's reputation and his Hall of Fame induction went down the drain that day. Raffy waived his finger claiming he had NEVER used steroids before only to be caught a few months later.
