The Illinois football coach was called into the Friendly Confines to perform “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” for the audience at 1060 West Addison. So, how did it go? Ron Zook is well known for being a master recruiter. In the blink of an eye he took a dormant University of Illinois team to the Rose Bowl. You can debate how Zook has consistently recruited top tier talent regardless of where he's been (illegal shenanigans, booster money, this picture), but whatever it is, he's got it.
But one place he didn't have it was at Wrigley Field yesterday. Zook got to do "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" and naturally he butchered it.

Illinois head football coach Ron Zook was at Wrigley Field yesterday to sing the 7th inning stretch, and I think it's pretty obvious that singing is not Ron's strong suit. Hopefully he doesn't take any of his potential recruits to a karaoke bar, or else the Illinois football program is going to go back down the crapper.
