Royal Ivey suspended for pinging Gray's jewels
Odenized —
Odenized video clip on YouTube | Download When we heard the news of Royal Ivey's three-game suspension for cockpunching Aaron Gray, we had to see it for ourselves. Unfortunately, the Milwaukee broadcast focuses on the career performance of Ramon 'Memo Man' Sessions and not the injured Gray. This is all the video evidence we have.
Video: Royal Ivey's Cheapshot

Royal Ivey: I know kung fu. We missed this entirely during the broadcast, but after word came down from the NBA that Royal Ivey had been suspended three games for punching Aaron Gray on Monday, the good people at Odenized took another look at the videotape. Ivey pretty clearly takes a judo chop at Gray's junk, leaving the big man sprawling on the ground. The starting point for all of this might have been Gray's big pick on Ivey last week in Chicago.
Royal Ivey Delivers Royal Slam to a Bull’s Jewels
SPORTSbyBROOKS —
When we saw the quiet announcement today that Royal Ivey of the Milwaukee Bucks would enjoy a three-game vacation due to (in the NBA’s words) “punching Chicago Bulls center Aaron Gray in the groin” on Monday, we just had to see the 6′4″ Ivey attack the 7′0″ Gray’s area. Floor Burns and Poison Ivey: NBA groins are on notice
Philadelphia 76ers —
Kevin Ollie, meet your replacement. The Sixers signed Royal Ivey (who I’m dubbing as “Poison”) this summer to take over the role of third string point guard. Ivey earned a reputation as a scrappy player due to the fact that he’s not particularly good at anything. He makes his bread and butter by outworking the other guy and playing tough defense. He’s never been known as one to back down from a challenge.
So, when he got worked over by the pride of Emmaus, Poison vowed to get revenge. That he did. The result is that he has to spend his first two games as a Sixer on the bench for a suspension.
Thanks ...
